bansama: Nice to see Capcom on board. Unfortunately, you only need to look at Steam's Japan store to see how small Capcom's offerings could be on GOG. I.e., no Resident Evil, only one DMC game, only one Lost Planet game, Flock!, Age of Booty, and more SF DLC than any sane person could ever want.

Capcom won't even publish Japanese games for which they have the Japan distribution rights as they, and I quote Capcom, "don't care".

Now, I would love to see GOG actually persuade Capcom Japan to sell all PC games via DD on GOG and thus prove me wrong, but other publishers who have joint rights with them have failed to do that for all other major DD stores already, due to the aforementioned "don't care" response from Capcom Japan.
Well that's disappointing. I wondered in the other thread why there was no announcement; "Because GOG is only going to actually be able to release one or two of their games" would explain it.

Not so say it's not disappointing but some are better than none actually.

I wonder if GOG could release emulated Capcom console releases.

I'm a little confused here. Capcom Japan's relationship with its western arm is not the same as Squeenix, which is basically two different companies. As far as I'm aware, almost all of the titles are originally from Capcom Japan, with the exception of the odd title such as Dark Void Zero and the Bionic Commando remakes.

Aren't Capcom USA and Capcom Europe fully authorised to exploit Capcom's IP in their respective terrorities? They actually have quite a bit of stuff on Steam here in Europe - including Resi 5 and a pre-order for Resi 6 - but obviously no retro stuff like SF2 or Resident Evil 1.

If Capcom don't care about DD in Japan, it's because DD has flopped massively there and the PC as a gaming platform is a non-issue anyway.
I did certainly not expect to Capcom to make a deal with gog.

I would buy Street fighter 4 Arcade Edition on the spot, if it shows up here. I can only hope.

Imagine a standard pc with SF4AE, installed in a Vewlix arcade cabinet ;)

Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Marvel versus Capcom would be all I need but I have them already.
Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition would be cool if there is anyone online on PC.

danteveli: Marvel versus Capcom
As we said in the release thread, X-Men would mean Marvel, Marvel means Disney, Disney means LucasArt. So let's hope we do get this one :)

Terpor: I would love to see Mega Man on GOG
Anything but the DOS version, please, when I remember that version it becomes painful for me just to breathe
I wouldn't mind seeing those Japanese schmups Capcom published on Steam recently. The eXceed collection , Satazius , and Ether Vapor Remaster. Dark Void Zero also has that nasty Securom limited activation nonsense on the Steam version.
Resident Evil 1 and 2 please!

I have SSF4AE stashed away untouched on disc (picked it up for 5 euros) and I still play vanilla SF4 online. There are still often a few people on, so I would think that SSF4AE has a few as well.

If it ever appeared on GOG free of GFWL, however, you can kiss online MP goodbye - the game used GFWL for matchmaking.
