Why it have to be hate? Why not simply despise?

This post is not about the stunt, so I won't go there. However I don't think there was ever a suggestion the community was broken / damaged. The community was fine, we are still "us". I think the community will move on simply because it is more than GOG, it is a group of like minded people, who want to help each other, and to talk. GOG can't give or take that, they are just the conduit through which our magnificence is manifest.

I may be losing it a bit there.

P.S - new avatar, what do people think? Maximillion was just those at hand, I feel Manny reflects me better.

I must be subconciously staying away from wherever all these discussions are happening, but aside from the very first couple of days, i don't see them popping up around the first page much. Then again, once I've said my piece and I realize the subject of discussion is one of those opinion based ones, where you can't really change other people's minds (like religion or politics), I find hanging around the thread to be almost completely useless.

Apart from the few threads dedicated to the subject I don't see the bile spreading all over the forums. Give it a couple of weeks and it'll all be water under the bridge.

I don't see -that- much of a change. But that's probably because I have learned to ignore certain topics on these forums: Because the constant anti-DRM BS was basically the same thing, with one discussion spanning over several topics... And it always calmed down for a few months, just to be reawakened by a few newcomers. Really, it's just more new people at once...

Oh yes, I'd almost forgotten about that. That was horrible :D
