It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I get to the check out screen and I am unable to pay for my purchase.

I click on the "pay pal" icon and nothing happens. I tried paying with a credit card and I have the same problem.

I wrote to gog.com a few days ago and have yet to hear anything.

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem is?

I have 3 computers and it acts the same on all three.

Alan

Are you using the same browser on each of those computers? Are scripts allowed? Unresponsive buttons are often a sign that Javascript is blocked.

Edit: Do you see the green "Process Order Now" button under the credit card and paypal images at all?

Which browser are you using? Does it fail to redirect to paypal, or simply not respond?

I am using 7 on all 3 computers. I use pay pal all the time on other web site with no problems.

I see the green button. Nothing happens when I press it.

If I use a credit card it will not let me enter the expiration date.

This might sound like a stupid question, but have you tried with your smartphone?

Do you have an add on on your browser like NOscript that sometimes blocks things and you then have to allow them.

How do I check to see if java script is blocked?

I assume you mean Internet Explorer 7, rather than Firefox 7, Opera 7, or Chrome 7, ("7", in and of itself, doesn't really say a lot), and therein I see your problem. IE 7 has huge problems with GOG.

I suggest you switch to another browser, either a later version of the one you're using or another browser altogether (one of the above named ones, not the version mentioned though - choose the latest version available regardless of which browser you choose).

I'm wondering if he didn't mean *Windows* 7...

Ah, of course (I haven't seen the confusion between OS and browser in a dozen years at least). In that case, the browser version should be no problem, and something else the issue (Internet Explorer 8 should work as-is).

In that case we should perhaps explain how to enable Javascript in IE8 (which I don't use, so I can't help here). I'm pretty sure that it's a script block problem (or perhaps Windows security set too high?) from the description given.

Or just try Firefox. Few people use IE deliberately.

Are you using Internet Explorer? IE7 will not work properly with our checkout page, neither will IE8 or IE9 with Compatibility View turned on. Your description matches this type of issue.

If you're using IE8/9, please make sure that Compatibility View is disabled. You can find out more about this mode here:
http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows7/How-to-use-Compatibility-View-in-Internet-Explorer-9
and here:

Alternatively, please use any other mainstream browser to make a purchase on our site, like Firefox, Chrome, Opera or Safari.
Also, we run on a skeleton crew on weekends, so we may not be able to respond to every ticket before Monday. I apologize for the delay, regardless.

Thank you.

That worked perfectly.

Not sure what I did exactly but it started working.
