Hi all,

Couldn't find a section to put this in, so I will leave it here till moderators move it.

I've been trying to find a game that was very old, turn-base strategy/fantasy game.

Basiclly, you take turns in building your army on different types of maps, Top down diablo style, there are some buildings that you build.

Sorry for the vague description - but that's all I have.

It was windows game, around ~2000 it came out (not sure before or after).

Thank You

Diablo is isometric, not top-down :) Do you mean the Disciples games?
Could be Heroes of Might and Magic series, Disciples series, or Age of Wonders series

edit: all of these are on GOG, look up to see the search bar

Hmmm...
"Lords of Magic" is older than that but fits the description as well, I think.
"Master of Magic" is even older than that but might also fit.

edit: Both available here on GOG.

So, which game was it?
Would you recognise it if the correct title was given, or are we just guessing for the fun of it?

The names provided so far are what I would have suggested. Nothing rings a bell?
Hey all,

Sorry for the thread revival again,

But I may have found the game I was looking for!

No wonder I couldn't find it, it was very old - 1994.

The game is called Blood & Magic, Dos, 1994, Interplay.

Just wondering how do I get this game up on GOG ?

You can vote for it on the wishlist, more than that is in the lap of the GoG staff, some people do take the initiative to try to find rights holders personally and do some of the leg work for GoG but you still need both sides to come to the table and agree. This generally takes time.

Forgive me, but for some reason it always amuses me when someone calls something from the 90s "very old". I can remember gaming back in the late 70s and early 80s.

Dunno if GOG's ever gonna get, but until they do, I'm gonna PM you a link where you can get it. Never played it myself but it looks interesting, gonna have to give it a try :)

Do you perhaps know if there is some fan made patch fixing the ridiculous micromanagement of the game? For those who don't know what I'm talking about: your golems are producing mana. But you have to manually order them to transfer it to your reserves. Every single time, every single golem! I was very angry back then when I bought the game but right now it makes the game virtually unplayable for me.

Unfortunately no, when I played demo (when it came out) I got very little time with unfortunately :(

Then I totally forgot the game until recently.
