I absolutely suck at searches. Been at this for 25 or 30 minutes and just have no clue how to find what I'm looking for.

I made a post recently (don't remember if it was my thread or a comment in someone else's) where I asked about The Guild 2 and The Pirates of High Seas Expansion (I asked if that was the same as The Pirates of European Seas) and IIRC I had a link in there.

But I've tried everything I know to try and I just keep getting every damn post that has the words Pirates or OldFatGuy or Seas or whatever.

I really really suck at searches. Is there some way that I'm formatting my search wrong?? Or putting the wrong words in the search box?? Any help is appreciated.

Go to 'My Account' - 'Forum replies' and you should be able to find it I think.
Well, I searched for the thread with the words "Pirates of the High Seas", then I used Firefox's "Find" feature to look for any thread made on 2014 and below are my results:

Unfortunately, the thread is older than a week and thus, he won't be able to find it with this way.

YES!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THAKN YOU

OMG, HOW THE HELL DID YOU FIND IT???? What I am doing wrong???

Oh man, I thought I remembered buying The Guild 2 but I wasn't finding it in any of the "usual suspects" and so I thought maybe I didn't buy it but

YOU FOUND IT FOR ME.

LOL, I signed in there, and yes, on my game shelf, I have The Guild 2, The Guild 2, Pirates of the High Seas, and IIRC it cost only $2.50 each, but I might be misremembering that. I don't know how I can find out the cost.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, lol, I saw today's announcement and that triggered my memory that I thought I bought it, but I couldn't find it. I guess I don't remember registering there, but sure enough, I've got an account there. THANKS AGAIN.

Searched with google by putting site:gog.com then your name & The Guild 2 and The Pirates of High Seas Expansion
Ah, yes, I found Order History, and brought it up, and yes, they were only $2.50 each.

I got:

The Guild 2
The Guild 2 Pirates of the High Seas
The Guild 2 Renaissance
The Guild 2 Venice

All for $8.75

See snipping tool grab below.

Oh, well, I guess that's what I was doing wrong. Using the search feature on these forums. LOL

THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN man.

I can't tell you how pleasing it is to discover you have games that you had forgotten about. LOL

You did better than I, at least it was on the first page.

I tried a whole bunch of different ways (but again, I made the mistake of using the search button at the top of these forums) and got pages and pages of results each time and clicked on the first couple of pages each time and never found it.

I just suck at searches for some reason. I didn't even think of using an "outside" search engine. I figured (incorrectly) that the best one to use would be the one that's part of the very forums you're searching.

If you can find things on Google, then you don't suck at searches. Truth be told, GOG's search feature is infamous for not finding anything. :P

Well, next time I try to find something here, I hope I remember that. But the only thing worse than my searching abilities is my memory, soooo.... :>)

Well, then you can try searching for this thread next time... using Google. :D
Alternatively, you can make this thread a favourite, so you will never forget.

Hm, managed to find it using just your name and 'guild'. Then started looking through the results for threads you started. First hit was the winner.

I'd be too terrified at what else a google search for oldfatguy guild would turn up...

As long as you spell it with a 'd' you should be safe I guess.

Well... safer
