As a Lancashirian, from the Northwest of GB, it's a pretty amazing site for us old gamers. It could stand to get a few hundred more classic games from the 1990s, but it's a great start with what they have here now. They spend LARGE amounts of time chasing the legal-side of the business, nailing down the rights-holders to the floor, smothering them in jam and calling in a few dozen hungry rats to gnaw their sensitive bits until they agree to sign up and release their back catalogues... :P

I'd really avoid paying for stuff with bank cards, though - I'm with RBoS, and they hit you with a £1.25 or so charge to convert to $/pay to Cyprus. I have linked my account to PayPal, and the charge for conversion there is a far more modest 10pence. Ask at your bank for further details of their charges for international transactions if you're unsure -some WILL refuse Cyprus as a hotbed of money-laundering.

To be fair, most of the mainstream sites tend to ignore GOG. On Monday there was a posting on CNET for all of the Cyber Monday sales on digital dist sites like Steam, Origin, Amazon, Gamefly, Gamestop... the first commenter mentioned GOG and their current sales, then mentioned that the Steam sales listed were expired. The article writer thanked the poster for the Steam info, updated the article with it, and ignored the GOG portion of the comment entirely. Pathetic.

Shacknews does regularly reference GOG though...

..or like, you know, common people who use the forums and like the service.
