But it seems you was the only guy who felt the necessity to attack the OP.

Roman5: In all seriousness though, I would like to know what goes through the minds of the people who make these threads
Probably something along the lines of "I don't know a whole lot about game licensing or how DRM works, much like 95% of the world, but I've bought a game, now how do I get it to work?". It's not unreasonable to assume that a lay person will buy a game online and expect to be able to access that game elsewhere. That's pretty much how digital distribution is sold these days.
Just because they don't know as much as you about the way distribution works doesn't necessarily make them (or their posts) retarded.

Why on earth would ANYONE think that you can transfer your game licenses like that between different companies?
I already made an example in my previous post, another example would be "Hey guys, I bought this Voucher to shop at LIDL, can I transfer it to shop at Tesco?"
That would be like me making a thread and asking "Hey guys, My Wii broke down, can I call Playstation Support for help?"
It's Ridiculous and can easily be classified as a "Troll thread"

Roman5: If OP is having problems running his fallout copies from Steam and comes here for help then that's totally fine and I'm glad some people posted some helpful info, however when he makes threads with ridiculous titles like that, then it's not fine

You've never professionally taught complete beginners how to use a computer, have you? It shows - you're still not thinking from the perspective of a lay person. Why on earth would ANYONE think that you can transfer your game licenses like that between different companies?

As some people see it, digital distribution stores are collectively one big shop. They understand that "Amazon" is one shop and "Play.com" is another, but if they buy something to download, then they may well assume that they can download it from any site that has it, because they bought it off the internet, which to them is a shop.

Tychoxi: Exactly. And for example, Origin and Steam have lots of this, keys will activate many games in both "platforms" or whatever they are called.
Roman5: Really? Interesting...I haven't heard about that before Some examples would be nice
Okay, I ninjagoogled this if you must have proof: http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/07/21/ea-steam-keys-can-be-activated-on-origin/.

The vast majority of EA games on Steam come with a CD key that can be registered in Origin.
I've got a few games that are registered in Origin from retail versions, but I know that Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Mass Effect 2, Mirror's Edge and Red Alert 3 can be registered in Origin using the key that Steam provides you with.
Edit: Ninja'd by Tychoxi

Roman5: I did not "Attack" the OP
I noted that his thread and title is ridiculous and he should think before he posts anything like that again, why I was the first person to do this, I have no idea
Check out some of my previous threads that I made. I post Valid criticism and opinions towards games/publishers and I'm classified as a "Troll" for doing that
The Hypocrisy is very sweet indeed

Tychoxi: Well I know for certain about ME1 and ME2. I would guess Dragon ages games too and others. It's not perfect though, I have read posts about people complaining they had to get Origin Support to do it.
Okay, I ninjagoogled this if you must have proof: http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/07/21/ea-steam-keys-can-be-activated-on-origin/.
