Hi everyone, I was wondering if my laptop could run The Witcher 2 on its lowest settings? My specifications are: Operating System
MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i3 370M @ 2.40GHz 42 °C
Arrandale 32nm Technology
RAM
4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 532MHz (7-7-7-20)

I've asked on the Witcher 2 forum here, but noone seems to be on it anymore. I really don't want to wait until the 360 version comes out, whenever that may be. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd say no, but I'm no hardware expert, so just ask here. It's a site that scans your computer and compare it to requirements of the game, basically.

I confidently say no after reading Intel(R) HD Graphics. Games like these need good dedicated cards, not shared memory integrated cards.

I wouldn't recommend trusting that site. It didn't seem to think my computer would have any trouble with TW2 and ultimately it's way too jerky to be considered playable.

I really miss the days when one could just buy a Voodoo 2 card with a 400mhz processor and 128mb of RAM and know that you were going to be able to play the game you wanted to play.

Well that setup was pretty elite though. When my parents finally got our first real computer in 2000, Voodoo 3's were already out but a new coppermine celeron pc at 600MHz (top end was 1GHz PIII) only came with 64MB ram.

Ok, I figured I wouldn't be able to play it. I guess I'll just have to wait a few more months. And I wouldn't trust that site. It said I couldn't play Oblivion or The Witcher Enhanced, but I am. Thanks everyone.

Well, it's kind of implied that you can play. Personally, I wish I hadn't trusted it as I'll have to spend probably $400 or on hardware if I want to actually play it. And I won't have that sort of money for quite some time.

I have an HD 6370 which is slightly superior to the latest Intel HD, and I can only run it acceptably at 800x600 with everything on lowest (though my processor, a 2.5 GHz Turion II P560, is probably the worst part of the set).

So yeah, you're out of luck. In fact, I'll probably wait until I get a better pc myself.

As Dragobr says probably not. I'd wait until I could buy a dedicated video card before tackling it. :\
