Fallen_Zen: The overall download time will be the same as with downloading one at a time, but you'll wait a lot longer before anything is finished, as the speed will be divided for each item that's downloading.
Imagine this.

I download The Witcher 2 and Lord of the realm.

If I had simultanious downloads, I would be able to play LOTR after few minutes. With GOG downloader I have to pause the witcher 2 and start LOTR, and after finishing it I have to unpause TW2 again.

People do that often - downloading a smaller game while waiting for download of a huge game to complete.

Not having multiple downloads at once is not a feature, it's a bug

I'm not saying that multiple downloads is a bad thing. I'm just saying that all that it cost you is to drag Lord of the Realms at the top of the queue. The Witcher will pause, The Lord of the Realms will download in minutes and The Witcher will resume automatically afterwards. No need to un-pause manually anything ;)

Maybe we'll add that option in the future for the lazy people ;) Cheers!

For all the lazy people out there, you should add visibe games shelf in the downloader.

It's top priority!

Instead of having the games queued vertically, you can have an option of queuing them horizontally. This way you atleast do not need to lift and place a game above the other, but just drag them. It is easier on the back also.

You can also have a option to add extra grease to the game icons when selling the game, for about $0.10 each. Just to make them slide easier for those who wants it.

DyNaer: If i may ask : what is better to do ?
I have it connected directly to my account and have never had the charge he mentioned, so I'd guess that it's better but it might not be the reason at all.

Fallen_Zen: You'd rather want to download multiple items at once?
Yes, it would be rather nice if GOG downloader allowed me to the same thing as downloaders of GOG's competition.

This is an especially good idea for us practical(not lazy) people. There is a difference between not wanting to waste time(taking steps that are uneccesary/don't add anything of value) and being lazy(not wanting work or do usefull things).
We have a lot of great plans for the Downloader. I can't promise anything right now but I presume everyone will be happy :) You'll just have to wait.
These £1.50 bank charges mount up over time : I must have wasted over £50 on such charges already and will attempt to use PayPal for my next GOG transaction. Unless you read all the small print - which nobody can seriously be expected to do - you are going to fall foul of these contemptible banking practices. This is certainly not GOG's fault in any way. UK banks seemingly STILL haven't learned how to behave themselves despite having been severely punished for similar misdemeanours in the past.

i opened a paypal account , but instead i linked my CC

i made a purchase via paypal and

basicaly, i haven't been extra charged , but since Paypal use a higher currency conversion , u can consider this as a fee.
nevertheless , it's way less than directly using my CC and got extra charged by my bank , which apply a minimum of 1 euro per currency exchange.

so, if im not mistaken , a cc or an account linked , paypal will always apply a higher currency exchange , but since there no extra charge , paypal is more interesting for small amount of money. After one point the bank will be more interesting (we have talked about this in another topic)

I'm glad it's worked out for you. I still can't work out what was happening to jjsimp, perhaps it's different in the US from Europe.

That's good to here! It's not like I'm lazy, but dragging the games to the top of the list is a chore when you have many games (the list doesn't scroll up to where you want to place the download, at least not in my case).

Can't wait to see some improvements :)
Downloader-wise, couldnt there be a option to change how many downloads are allowed at any one time? That would definetly help speed up some of the bonus-stuff downloading.
