My friend recently gave me a copy of Lucius, and for some reason, Gene won't light his smoke in chapter 2, so I can't go further in the game. How can I fix this? Does anyone know? I've done everything, even checked out walkthroughs and still, nothing! I'd really like to continue the game!

There are specific game forums but they're pretty easy to miss... Click "Community Discussion" and then look on the right hand side of the screen for a full list of games. Someone there may have posted an answer or may help you a bit faster then here ;-)

See a walkthrough here - it sounds like "Chapter 2: Smoking Kills" is where you are stuck.

But don't peek further past that part! :p

You must have the updated version with the new "California Patch". It makes is so there is no smoking in any game anywhere regardless of how it effects the game. You are a actually pretty lucky. If you'd gotten stuck with the "Alabama Patch" your character would no longer be able to read, bathe, or date anyone who isn't a blood relative.

First of all welcome, are you sure you haven't missed out any clue? Have you tried restarting the level? Also verifying cache integrity in steam might work (look it up). If it helps this is a walkthrough video of CH 2 :)
