Typically computer. CRPG used to be a common acronym back when such games were still made. ;)

That was somewhat a buzzkill. I thought it meant more. So baldurs gate is crpg, online rpgs:s are mmorpgs final fantasys are jrpg:s.. what's left..
Well witcher 1 was good crpg. =)

Edit: What the hell is diablo then? H&slash rpg wannabe.. Liked the first one though.

That acronym always seemed a little odd to me, since console also starts with C. Seems they could have picked something a little more distinguishing.

I think 'nintendo' was the term for console back then. ;)

I have played pretty plenty of console rpg:s. And those have that own charm. There are stats and all but mostly they are not so serious but that doesn't mean that story is always towards to hell. I loved FFVII, when I started realising what it was. And That was a great game.
Nowadays I like more freedom. FFVII would sucked if there wasn't been such good battlesystem or story.
Like my mother said when I was a child. "loan some money or you will not get food tonight." That ps1 really saved my mental health..
..
No..
It did not such thing.
