It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Just getting this in the spotlight, since the old thread has gone to hell and is being ignored for the most part.

Which irc client do you guys recommend?

I for one use ChatZilla because I already have Firefox open all the time and if it's not open it means that I don't want to be on IRC anyway.
The one disadvantage is that if you have a memory leak and need to close Firefox you also have to close ChatZilla.

Opera, the best Windows client I've found so far.
Colloquy, the best client I've found so far regardless of platform, only exists for Apple systems though.
Does noone use mIRC anymore?

It's awful. There's plenty of alternatives.

I still do and I fail to see how its awful other then it costing money to buy. It chats on IRC fine and it sits in the background taking up about 9mb or ram and basically no cpu. I also don't need to leave firefox open to have it running.
BY THE WAY THERE IS AN IRC CHANNEL

Really??!! I'll have to visit sometime.

Real men use irssi.
I guess I could go there to do some idling. I'm master of idlers, being always online and checking in once a month if I feel like that. :P
I use Pidgin for IRC.

Wishbone: I use Pidgin for IRC.

I tried that, but found the packet loss was too high when all of the damn neighborhood cats kept catching them.
I use IceChat and I don't care.

I can't believe you have to pay... I was sure it was free. Mind you, I haven't used it since 2001...
