I be considering getting my filthy mitts on this Drakensang thing that involves a river going through time or somesuch, but apparently us from the UK are not deserving of this game, which only gets my desire going even more. Now, I took a look at the US amazon and it seems to be available for purchase there, but only as a digital download. Now, my question be can I buy it there or will I find myself locked out because I'm a filthy foreigner? I suppose I can try and make do with The Dark Eye, but I was really liking the idea of boating it down a river (the lack of muskets and yarrs can be overcome I suppose, no game can be completely perfect I suppose).

Cheers for the info, guess I can just try and buy it and see if it lets me. Not so keen on ebay, but I'll take a look if I need to. I'll mark your post as the solution, cheers for the help. :)

Steam supposedly got The river of time for 19.99$ (not sure if you consider that a good price though), but it's regional restricted and I do not know if the US version is 'gift-able'. People on the Steam forum actually discuss just that.
It's funny, or rather sad, that a game based on German IP, developed by a German company isn't available in Germany on Steam. I wish there'd be a Drakensang bundle with 1, 2 and the expansion for 2 for a reasonable price during a Steam sale, but as the publisher went into financial trouble,... I doubt that's ever going to happen.
On a related note, it's kind of sick what difference in deals publishers manage to score.
The Spanish GameStop was hosting a Drakensang bundle containing 1, 2 and every expansion (localised) for less than 20 Euro.
