Go watch the video, sign the petition, and hopefully, eventually, reap the benefits from mappable controller buttons. It’s simple enough to incorporate into games, not much more of an expense and it would help a lot of people be able to play games, or just be more comfortable doing so. Even if you’re not disabled you could benefit from it.

It’s pretty much a standard or at least expected in some form on PC, it can and should be on consoles to.

Signed. They really should get off their lazy asses and make this a standard already!

Although some developers have come up with some truly dreadful solutions with PC ports; see Saints Row 2 for details. Shift and Ctrl to move through menus? What the hell? Let's hope this filters down to ports as well.

As a side note, this kind of reminds me of World in Conflict. It's the first and so far only game that I have seen with a graphics setting that makes the game easier (or possible? I wouldn't know) to play for red-green colourblind people.

EDIT: Also, +1.

A good idea for disabled and non-disabled alike. Hope this makes a difference.

+1 to that. I've played games that were effectively ruined by a stupid key system. That being said, it's definitely something that the industry needs to return to.

I have noticed some games with a colour blind mode, only a very few though, but then it's not something I look for so I don't know what the reality of it is. Still it's just small things like this that make games accessible to a lot more people.

Really? I'm curious, it sounds like a good idea and one that I'm surprised wasn't more prevalent back when palette swapping was relatively common.

Personally, I only have trouble with a few very specific shades of green, and some combinations of other colors.
