DrIstvaan: Ouch! Isn't Judas enough to make free advertising for the Guild?
Besides, he does it in a more stylish manner... ;-).
Ladies and gentlemen, I haven't played enough Guild therefore I suck.

Style just isn't convincing enough these days!
You're mistaken, my friend... I *have* played The Guild!
Back on topic...
@prakaa
If you're into ships and trading, I think you should start with Port Royale 2, as it is easier to get into (or at least I see it this way).

Must.....resist......fixing....
Thanks Guys
I always seem to find games that other people find hard very easy
Like Hearts of Iron 2-played the game and learned the tricks of the trade without the tutorial or the manual
It's a very tricky choice; I just got the free ticket today
Actually to be honest I still can't decide...
You see i've played the Guild 2, like it, but then it got really boring because of bugs and the fact that the gameplay was the same
People have said the Guild is better
But then I've never played Patrician, and I can't try the demo, because when I try to download it it says i'm in the wrong region
I like replayable games, so that's why i'm hesistant with the Guild, but then again, the Guild has got better reviews compared to Patrician 3 outside of GOG (rhyming couplet)
So I need someone whho's played both
Hey guys
Just wanted to say thanks for your help
I tried the Patrician 2 Demo, and I made a decision
I chose the Guild. Patriciam looks like a great game, but I only get a small amount of time to play games, and the I think the Guild will be easier to manage

Eeeh... The Guild is a great game, but if you don't have much time on your hands, it may be a problem... It has a tendency of sucking in the player, thus it may not fit well into a limited timeframe.
Still, I hope you'll have the power to only play as much as you can and not be disappointed. :-)
Don't worry
My aim is to conquer GOG through free tickets
So hopefully, Iif I get another ticket, i'll go for Patrician
Someone mentioned my name and I have appeared!!
Buy The Guild, love The Guild, be one with The Guild. All other games are pale imitators full of empty gaming calories. Do yourself a favor and play The Guild...
I bought it

prakaa: I bought it

Be sure to tell us about your experiences with the game!
Guess I may have to look into the Guild as well then :)
But as others have stated before in this thread - the Patrician 3 is quite good as well

Have you played the other games mentioned, TheJoe? While I'll agree that The Guild is a decent game, I would definitely prefer some real arguments as to why it's better than Patrician III, for instance, over these "fixes" that don't really say anything at all.

Don't bother with TheJoe; he likes making fun of himself (or maybe he actually THINKS what he's doing is funny?) blatantly advertising The Guild, obviously not having played any other decent game.
Just ignore his comments.
Wow the Guild is actually pretty good
Though I'm sort of screwed.
Having taken a financial risk, I hired an extra thief, and for about 3 sessions they've collected 100% info on 3 properties
I sent all of them to eac one. And ALL of them got caught
Now i've i'm in a pile of debt!
All of the Sim City games are my favorites. Even Sim City Societies was fun, I loved creating dystopic cities just for the fun of it.
