Randalator deserves high praise for that list of bundles. Made my browsing a lot easier, but does anybody know if the Kain, RPG Open Worlds & D&D bundles have already gone, or are going to be listed soon? Those are some that I don't want to miss.

I don't know about the others, but RPG Open Worlds hasn't been on twice yet. I couldn't decide if I wanted to get it or not at the Solstice sale (and I still don't know), so I've been waiting for it to pop up again.

D&D was on the first day but is a common sale item so just keep a heads up.

Thanks for the information, but the D&D bundle wasn't high on my list anyway. The Kain & Open Worlds will be those to look for.

So we have seen the D&D bundle twice (day 1 and the day 4 Megasale) and the Kain and Open Worlds bundles once (the Megasale). Going by the holiday sale last year you can expect to see all bundles at least three times, twice on individual days and once in the Megasale. You might see them a fourth time on the last day of the sale if GOG does a Last Chance Megasale again.

Does anybody know whether or not the Sierra Selection will return next year? I'm stuck between the D&D and the one I have just mentioned. For value for money, the D&D option seems logical, but if the Sierra bundle returns, I'll purchase that later. Any confirmation?

Probably not even GOG can answer this right now.
What I can tell you though is that the Sierra games have been on sale before - iirc, somewhere in the range of 50-60% off.

Considering how popular they are, chances are the bundle will appear once again. Thanks.

UnknownMember: GOG is going to place an emphasis on the obscure D&D titles like 'Demon Stone' and package them in with popular titles like Baldur's Gate & Planescape: Torment. The majority of gamers already own these products, so paying for them twice is going to put a few people off.
If you already own any games through GOG, then they count towards any promotional offers that require buying a bundle of games. So for example if there is a bundle of 8 games and you own 7 of them already on GOG and only want the one game you are missing, but the GOG promo requires the bundle to be bought as a whole to get the full promo discount, your already purchased games count towards that, so you do only need to buy the games you do not already have. It's like this in all GOG promotions.

This does not of course apply to games you might own on CD/DVD/Steam/Desura or elsewhere, and so if one owns games somewhere else, a current promo might or might not appeal to them. The promos do appeal to a large number of people however and GOG does run a tremendous amount of really good promos, most of which do not require buying a whole bundle to get the promo pricing. I don't think it is unfair of them to offer a good discount like 50% off individual titles or 80% off the entire bundle however, that is a pretty darned good deal no matter how you slice it. If someone gets upset or angry over that it's kind of cheap IMHO, especially when it boils down to only a couple dollars more or less.

There were some games in the promos that I wanted to get and passed on because I only wanted one or two of the games in the whole bundle. I wasn't upset, I just decided I would wait for a future deal to come up for those games in which I could get just the games I want, or perhaps they'd be bundled with other games I want instead next time around. So many good deals, every single deal isn't always going to be exactly what is optimal for every single person's situation really. :) I say just find the deals that work best and take advantage of them, pass up others until a better deal comes invariably does come along that offers what you want more closely.

GOG doesn't need to ever even put anything on sale if they choose not to, and the games are pretty good prices regularly. For someone to not be upset when a promo is not on, and then be upset when one does come on offering something deal that never existed prior, is IMHO quite silly and to a degree self-centered. :)

Just play the waiting game, a better deal match always comes along eventually. :)
@MHarris

I'm aware of that now, because a member called Jennifer told me about it previously. But thanks for your detailed explanation.
