nijuu: What do u think of the BTA games dude?

Leroux: Me, I haven't really played any of them, but The Wasted Land seems rather average and is probably for recommended for fans of Lovecraft only. The Wizard's Lair has a very low rating on Desura (4.6), but voters on Desura aren't always fair. Telepath RPG, from what I've seen, is a linear dialogue-heavy tactical turn-based strategy/RPG game using Adobe Air. I haven't played it enough to judge it, but I think you can find a demo for it on the net. The most interesting BTA game IMO is The Wizard from Tarnath Tor, at least if you're interested in choose-your-own-adventure game books. Desura rating is 9.5.
I guess the very high rating for Wizard from Tarnath is because it's a niche game. All the other adventurebooks-games have also such a high rating. There is also another Adventurebook-game in the first tier, so for everyone who want to give such type of game a try the lower tier should be enough. Thanks to amazon daily-freebie I got a similar horror game on my android device. It's nice to play, but indeed something completely different and very likely not for everyone.

Edit: And searching for the other gamebook-adventures game (necromancer) on desura I proofed that I talked bullshit again, it has a rating of 6.9. Also I did the company name wrong, it's called gamebook-adventures ;-)

Nice bundle, and in concordance with the rest of the GOG hivemind it's a must-buy for me for Frayed Knights. As DNF said, it's weird they didn't put that into the BTA tier, but I'm not complaining =)
Frayed Knights looks like the star of the show here. It's worth getting for that one alone.

Unfortunately, most of the others don't interest me. Telepath RPG might be fun, but the perspective makes me dizzy.

How is Inaria?
Frayed Knights! Awesome, had my eye on that one for a while.

So I guess furiously F5ing the hell out of their site is in order.

I've played/read another gamebook by the same company on my iPod, and did like that one. But they are not indeed for everyone. Tolerance for reading and ability to visualize things in your own head are required, obviously. Not that they are as wordy as novels or anything.

The only game on this list I'm familiar with is Frayed Knights. Does anyone have any experience with any of the rest?

Yep, Styrateg - average gameplay, awesome music. ;)

I played Stryateg a few years back and really enjoyed it. Simple, but fun. ;^)
How did you like Frayed Knights?

I haven't actually played it myself. I'm only familiar with it via reviews and some forum buzz. I think it even won some indie RPG of the year award somewhere.
It's up.
$5 for the BTA.. I'll wait and see if it gets lower. I'll probably end up waiting until they have a "happy hour" and grab the minimum tier for a dollar though.
BTA or not...hmm.. Not that interested in the first tier,. Then again not so much in the second tier either.

Guess I'll just wait and see how the average varies.
So, are there actually any RPGs in this bundle, or is it all pixelated graphics hack and slashes / roguelikes wannabes?
Are the download page links (from the email) down for everyone or just me?
This looks like a reasonable bundle. I've been wanting to try Telepath RPG anyway (even if I'm afraid the perspective will make me dizzy).

Is that a confirmed thing that will happen?
