StingingVelvet: That's a shame, GFWL is annoying but not that big of a deal in the end, and the game could use the sale I am sure.
I've used it before and it isn't bad but it ate my saves for Fallout 3. Losing 50 hours because of their DRM system despite numerous attempts to get them back is just frustrating. Really turned me off GFWL as a whole.

I played Fallout 3 on my PC and distinctly have both local saves and don't recall any GfWL crap running at all. How on earth did you lose your saves?

GFWL saves are encrypted, if you forget to backup the encryption key (located in the "live-something" folder) you won't be able to use your saves on another computer. I guess that's what happened to him.

Whiteblade999: 1)The devs are not afraid of criticism for the... questionable stuff like 'Dicktits'.
Yes they are. Last time someone said UT3 wasn't that good, they put their fingers in their ears and went "NA NA NA it's piracy that caused bad sales NA NA NA" despite it being a multi player game and pirates not being able to play online. Keeping some content inside that just increases sales and adds controversy is not that big a deal.

Whiteblade999: 3)It is the closest thing to a Quake style FPS coming out for a long time.
This puzzles me ... How is it a Quake style FPS? It's a LOT more like Modern Warfare & Gears of War: shooting gallery of enemies to mow down, auto-healing, lots of stuff flashing telling you what to do, extremely linear line you have to walk along to the next objective, loads of scripted events, loads of cover to sit back behind, no jumping, etc.

I don't really enjoy it to be honest - it's mindless, takes little effort, involves almost no skill or tactics and it's just running along and shooting anything you see. The micro achievements for killing in specific ways is not tactical enough to make me enjoy it - I end up just giving headshots or kicking them over a cliff when I can.

Hmm, I wonder what will happen if I move my Fallout 3 saves from my old computer, is this the default situation?

I had the saves backed up, reformatted and they didn't work anymore. Guess I know why now thanks to Gersen.

I haven't played it but all the gameplay reminds me a lot of Quake. It is hard to describe but Quake has a certain 'feel' that Bulletstorm seems to have too.

I don't know if that the case for Fallout 3, but for other GFWL games like Dark Void, SF4, etc... if you move your save to another computer without backuping your offline account/key, you just wont be able to "login" to your offline account and your saves will never appear in the list of available save game.

If you did backup it, instead of creating a new offline account just select the existing one (the one you copied) and your saves will be detected/available.

I don't think Fallout 3's are encrypted actually... I could be wrong. I know they're not if you don't purposely make an online profile and use GFWL features.

After further thought I bet this happens when you tie it to your Live account and can then earn achievements. Otherwise you could import a save with 1999 albino, snaggletoothed wombat kills and get the "Wombats are Whack" achievement with a mere one albino, snaggletoothed wombat kill.

I was logged in, didn't even know it had an offline mode at the time.

Nope it happens with offline mode, with online mode it's actually not a problem, you just need to connect once for your profile to be copied on your HD and your savegames to be "unlocked". That's a known issue (mostly known by those who lose all their saves once :) ) of GFWL offline mode.

EDIT: If you are interested here is the full procedure :

WRONG! :-)

This is the most funny game I've played in years. It beats everything by Telltale (who seems to be the only major developer who do funny games these days) hands down.

I'm with TheCheese on this one, if the dialog wasn't any better than the demo (and I have no reason to believe it would be) it's ass, and offensive in a way I find it hard to understand since I usually don't have a problem even with the most offensive things.

The dialog really wasn't doing anything for me. It was pretty funny the first time I heard "I will kill all your dicks", but it wears out its welcome pretty quickly, especially since it cribs material from other sources ("Murder boner"? Someone's been watching too much Funny or Die).

Right. Well offline profile saves aren't encrypted and every GFWL has an offline profile option, so... if that makes you feel better.

Also for a game like Bulletstorm you probably won't be keeping saves anyway.

I finished it tonight... pretty good all the way to the end though I fucking HATE how every game has a cliffhanger ending now-a-days.
