I think EVGA 01G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti FPB is the better choice. EVGA alone is well known reliable company. And GeForce seems to have an edge over AMD card recently.

the_bard: Yeah, was just reading. I have an 8800 GTS mentioned in the thread. And yes, it kicks up shit with Planescape.

DreadMoth: Planescape seems to be the least compatible of all the Infinity Engine games.
In-game, some of the issues can be fixed by enabling Software Mirroring and Software Transparency.

Everything else should be fixable by installing the following in order:

bigg's Infinity Engine widescreen mod
Ghostdog's PS:T UI mod
Planescape: Torment Fixpack
Planescape: Torment Unfinished Business
Quinn's Planescape: Torment Tweaks
Nvidia Fix

Edit: see you have it working already - I'll leave this list here just in case you encounter issues later on.
Don't forget DDraw Fix

Ah, thank you!
That fixed the last issue I had with the game - slowdown from spell effects.
well the evga seems to have the best performance and also the most costly among all , so thats the first choice , if you got the cash or else the msi seems similar in performance

`Bulletstorm Giveaway Winner:

M10M

Congratulations! M10M will be PMd shortly.

The EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti won the voting well ahead of the other GPUs offered up for selection. This is also the most expensive of the lot. It's been ordered and it's going in the rig. I would like to thank everyone for playing. I hope everyone had a good time. Thank you all for your help.

Now, for a second run at a shot for a game from the current GOG weekend promo or one of the ones listed below... We gonna take another shot at this. If you can be bothered to do this; spec out your own budget build. My goal was to get somewhere between 5 and 700 USD. The final build pushed me over that limit bringing the total to $785.92 because of the GPU. The GPU pushed me 100 USD over my budget that I set for the build, but in the long run I think it will be worth it. So, here's your task for the second part of this giveaway. Spec your own budget gaming rig. Keep it a budget rig. I'll give you a 650 USD to work with. That should be enough to get you going. You notice I didn't include things like an OS or optical drive in mine to trim some of the fat. I don't need them. So, there you go. Second drawing will take place some time today (it's Sunday here)! Your current selection is limited to this weekends GOG promo until the current winner chooses their game. Then the others will drop back into the prize pool.

Good luck to you all!

BTW: I've just re-read my own rules. Let me make this clear. I'm awarding a game. Not the funds to build your own budget PC. I'm saying spec your own budget build within the 650 range. :P
