Mentalepsy: It seems that when I edit a post with multiple consecutive hard returns, the edit window turns the second hard return into a non-breaking space, thus smashing multiple paragraphs together.
Mentalepsy, that one is the same one Bansama mentioned, right ?

The way you worded it confused me a bit, but it looks to be the same thing.
Hello everyone, thought i'd report another posting bug. About some hours ago, I tried posting a pic in the "Marcin meme contest" thread twice, but my post still hasn't showed up. It might have been because the pic was close to the size limit or something. I actually had to reduce the size twice before it would accept the pic.

I've tried posting a few times and it never shows up. It seems that it's sometimes delayed, sometimes eaten by the ether. Hopefully they can get the forum issues sorted out, cause it's a tad bit annoying.

Yeah, i've also clicked on other page numbers for threads that have multiple pages and have encountered a 404 or something error. Other than that, I haven't had any other problems with downloads or anything as I recently tested out a game download and it worked fine.
I can't post in this topic:

http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/did_gog_com_s_pr_stunt_succeed_or_go_too_far/page6

The forum is eating my posts, does not show them but it says that I recently posted in the topic.

Yes, that's right. Strictly speaking it isn't deleting ALL line breaks - just line breaks that immediately follow other line breaks. The result is that I have to reseparate all of my paragraphs whenever I make an edit. It looks like the reply function does the same thing.

The bug linking a post to an avatar has been partially fixed. Old posts now display the current avatar, rep count and title, but the number of stars displayed corresponds to the old rep count, and the old avatar is still displayed on the thread index.
it seems that the above mentioned topic ( http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/did_gog_com_s_pr_stunt_succeed_or_go_too_far/page6 ) is faulty. It is constantly present on the top with low "last update" time but when I look in it, the last post is always the same.

edit: Maybe that topic is intentionally bugged given the subject that is debated there... I really hope that this isn't the case.

Ok, thanks ;)

And you're right, the line breaks are also removed from quotes when replying to multi paragraphs posts

Man, the new post editor really hates waste, uh ? I wonder if it's related to the new word/lenght limit on posts.

Double line-breaks seems to become line-break+space when quoting or editing a post. And posts from before the stunt seems to have had all double line-breaks replaced with a single break (no space). I'd wager both of those are bugs rather than intended features. Though the descriptions for GOGmixes work similarly, ALL line-breaks are simply reduced to a single space.

No, it's a bug. Many threads aren't updating properly.

They definitely sound like bugs, can't believe that's intended behaviour. Anyway, thanks a bunch for the explanation.

Lost another post, this time in the Guess the next Atari-Hasbro release contest thread. It only seems to happen in threads with high traffic or high post counts for me.
I'm running the latest version of Firefox, but I never had problems with Firefox on gog beta. Hope this info helps solve the bugs.
oh! c'mon gog! fix this forum bug as it prevents me to input my contribution to the marcin meme contest.

seems to be fixed now!

Neville: Not exactly. I won't describe you the system in details but posting is promoted to certain extent as well as getting votes for you're posts. Solving questions also matters. I will not say anything more about this even if you get the spanish inquisition and a comfortable armchair...
Personally, I find this response ludicrous. Why have a system in place that effects every user, but you will not explain how the system works for users?

Why put it in place at all? When it is not understood it can only result in frustration in other people.

I had no trouble with the PR stunt, but this kind of response lacks any real care for your user base.
If you want to make it a contest to have people figure it out then that is fine, but to say basically, "we're not telling you" with no reason why makes no sense.
