hedwards: Jagged Alliance is still available for purchase in the Strategy First pack. I was a beta user and I did receive it as a gift as part of the thank you event today. I can also buy it on it's page as well.

Not a big deal for me as I'm not planning to buy the whole pack anyways, but I'm sure that somebody will want it fixed.

Miaghstir: Jagged Alliance and Jagged Alliance Deadly Games are not one and the same. The latter is the gift and the former is in the promo.
Yeah, I screwed that up. I think though that the sort order is a bit odd. I would've thought that those two titles would come before the Jagged Alliance 2. Also the greyed out text is hard to read. I know you can put the cursor over it, but perhaps a tweak to the CSS is in order.
Two things regarding gifts.
1) I don't know since when, but there *is* a link to the gift redeeming page, on the bottom of every page (not really eye-catching, mind you). See attached screenshot.

2) If I'm given a gift, the relevant forum isn't automatically added to my favourites, while if I give one to someone, it is. It is an old oddity, but is still there. I know, it's not something world-shattering, and is easily fixable, but I still think it deserves some attention.

It's basic alphanumeric ordering, they could have some "sorting title" field in the database that's not displayed on the page. Like Itunes does.

Compare the titles, character for character, and the order makes sense. Though I agree it's odd to use.

"Jagged Alliance" comes first, because it ends directly after the last "e" and it's whole title is the start of all the others' (string end, or the NULL character, is ordered first of all). Second comes the bunch beginning with "Jagged Alliance 2" because the space between e and 2 is sorted before ALL visible characters, including the colon in "Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games". And so on.

Even if the colon in Deadly Games were gone, the D would be ordered after/below the 2 in Jagged Alliance 2.

It has its pros and cons, but going completely alphabetical rarely makes sense. You frequently end up with clumps around "the" which just makes it messy.

Fix or no fix, it makes it somewhat more complicated to use.

EDIT: And generally, punctuation goes right after things which don't have any letters, which would normally result in those two being first and second followed by the sequels.

I didn't mean ordering solely alphabetically made sense, but that the order made sense in an alphabetical context.

Nevermind, It's not as if we're disagreeing or discussing anything of high importance.

I know, and if they'd fix the PM system I'd PM you that I agree so that we can stop cluttering up the bugs thread.

Fix a PM system, since there's nothing here yet.

Neville: could you please give me an example of a thread where such problem occur?
Actually i can't Neville, because it's working properly now ;)

But it wasn't when i replyed to your post, i did check 2 or 3 of my older posts. Maybe the update didn't went trough right away ?

In any case the stars are definitely ok on older posts now, thank you!
The search function within a thread will always show the amount of returned posts as equal to the total number of posts in that thread no matter how many times it actually found the word(s).
Ok, op updated.

Another thing, the number of actuall posts on a thread doesn't match the number of posts displayed on the threads index. This doesn't happen with all threads but it does happens with some, like this one.
Trying to bold a letter in the middle of a word will add a space before and after it. (example)

I believe that is caused by posts being deleted from a thread (spam I'd assume). In this thread posts 64 and 65 are missing.
