They are really making you wait on this one, have you contacted your supplier to get a refund for the time you have lost the service
wodmarach: BT is my supplier I'm getting the first 2 months of infinity for free and the full package for half price the next 10 months after that so I'm not gonna complain too much ;)
Thats fair enough, similar thing happened to us with Sky, serious problems with the copper wiring, after 8 months they finally said yes you have a problem and sent OpenReach out. They gave us 6 months half price on our entire Sky package. More than happy with the outcome, we didnt have to psh to get that either, the last call we made to them when they got BT involved they gave us the discount without any questions or input from ourselves.
