They usually come out at around 11AM round my neck of the woods so will go with that.

They are really making you wait on this one, have you contacted your supplier to get a refund for the time you have lost the service

BT is my supplier I'm getting the first 2 months of infinity for free and the full package for half price the next 10 months after that so I'm not gonna complain too much ;)

Thats fair enough, similar thing happened to us with Sky, serious problems with the copper wiring, after 8 months they finally said yes you have a problem and sent OpenReach out. They gave us 6 months half price on our entire Sky package. More than happy with the outcome, we didnt have to psh to get that either, the last call we made to them when they got BT involved they gave us the discount without any questions or input from ourselves.

I still believe they will show up around 2 PM. I'm not surprised at all about the delay in getting optical. They're always later than when they say they'll be there :)

No fibre here despite the population density, I guess BT are happy to leave it to NTL\VM's cable services...

I think BT are aiming to get the areas done first off that have no fibre at all. County Durham there is no Virgin Media at all. Teeside has it then Sunderland and Newcastle but our council wouldnt subsidise the installation at the time for the area in Durham when they were doing the roll out.

A quick look through some leaked databases suggest the local cabinet has partial coverage apparently. Whatever that means. I'd sign up for VM services but their contract terms suck, nor do I want to take the other bundled stuff to get a reasonable price.
