Thanks for supporting you loyal fanbase Tim.
I'm was rather pissed of as this as well... But then I bought a PS3 in Japan. Not for this game alone, mind you, but because it was rather cheap compared to what it would cost here in Norway.
Still, it's a kick in the balls, but most current adventure games (excluding P&C) are usually console exclusive, or horribly ported to PC later, so it's not such a big surprise, to me at least.
It'll be released on PC eventually. Guaranteed.
It's inherently a console game. If it was released on PC people would be bitching about it being dumbed down for consoles anyway. That's the way it is.
At least, be happy that the game has been made how it was meant to be made. Don't forget that during a time, Activision, who owned the game at that time, wanted to modify the game and transform it into a Guitar Hero game...
A PC version would be most welcomed, though.

In theory, if they take their time about making the PC release, they can rework the interface to be more friendly to PC users.
That said, I'm getting the impression that Doublefine Production's primary target market is console gamers, based on this news and what I remember of how Psychonaut's interface was set up...

Doesn't change the fact that it was released on consoles first. What the hell Tim Schafer.
I reviewed again the wiki article and saw this:
There is presently no planned PC version of the game, as Schafer has stated that the game is primarily an action game and "meant to be on a console".[8]
Oh well, I guess we can still turn to Epic for quality PC games such as Unreal Tournament 3 and Gears of War 2
oh wait, good thing there's still our quality RTS titles from Ensemble Studios

I don't know about 100%, but I imagine it will as well.
EA has often delayed PC ports well past console releases. Usually they announce them, though... and this one was not announced. Same thing with Dante's Inferno, not that I care on that one.
Tim Shafer never once said no, or that he was not going to put in on the computer... he said in an interview, he likes to be random and mentioned Psychonauts... Which incidentally came to the PC a few years after console...
It will release to PC its only a matter fo when, its like Fable 2 staying on the console only.... that's sorta like charging midgets to ride Clydesdale when there are miniature ponies with armor and skull paint in the next farm.

It does look like a very "consoley" game, and probably one I wouldn't really like (I mainly play FPS and RPG and that's it), but... if EA doesn't port it, I think they are underestimating the PC Schafer fanbase.

Ye olde wiki says Psychonauts PC version was released a whole seven days after the xbox version. It was originally intended to be released at the same time.

Because he'd be the first big name in DOS game development to drift to the consoles?

iD is heading that way as well, so Mr. Schafer isn't exactly the first one...
