orcishgamer: Play Mario Kart Wii with the D pad instead of turning the Wiimote sideways sometime. I was mad when I did that.
For those that don't know, you quickly find out that the difficulty in the game is entirely based on the shitty motion control scheme. Literally all the stuff you couldn't do before will suddenly just be done, and it will be easy. Thanks Nintendo!
Actually, I find that the sideways Wiimote controls work just fine. I managed to get a 3 star rating in every Grand Prix without too much trouble using that control scheme.
lowyhong: I've a question about Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. I saw some gameplay vids, and I like the controls, but are there engaging sword-to-sword fights in the game?
You do fight some enemies that use swords, like Stalfos, Girahim or the "undead" robot pirate captain/king, but they probably won't really feel like sword-to-sword fights. Basically you're blocking with your shield and counterattacking with your sword. It's more about bashing the enemy in the face at the right moment and with the right angle of attack.
Great game though, I loved it. If you do end up getting it, here's a little piece of advice for fighting Girahim: when's he's using his hand to block your sword, put up your shield when approaching him, he won't be able to tell from where your next attack will come, and his hand will stay in the position it was when you put up your shield. Will save you a lot of frustration.
