I understand neither Dave Cummins or Jonathan Howard are involved. That's rather disappointing.

So, their goal of $400k has been reached, and their stretch goals are live. The most important one being at $1M - greenlight Beneath a Steel Sky 2.

I barely need to say it, but I will anyway: You know what you have to do now, torture your wallets to get us a sequel to BaSS.

While I also want a sequel to BaSS I don't know if it's a good idea to get it as a bonus for Broken Sword 5, I fear it will be done by the way without full concentration. They should start another kickstarter for it after the release of BS5.

A lot of these kickstarters have flubs that remind you why publishers use PR firms.

I doubt it means they'll make it at the same time and I don't see them say anywhere that it'd be a bonus in the sense of backers getting it. Plus that last $200,000 on top of the previous $800,000 stretch goal certainly wouldn't be enough to make the game.

Not a bad strategy IMHO. Getting to $ 1 Mil. not only means an expanded BS 5 experience but also the prospect of another BASS game. Well, we'll see how this plays out. Nobody expected Wasteland 2 to make it to $ 3 Mil. Maybe BS 5 will surprise us.

They wrote that that extra cash would "greenlight" the sequel, not finance it. It's a hook, line and sinker, but on the other hand it's a good one :)

A didn't read that notice, maybe I should do that before posting. Personally I believe they will do a BaSS 2 kickstarter nevertheless they reach that goal or not, but when it helps to collect more money now they're welcome to use it as another stimulus. At some point it will for sure also effects BaSS 2, because they want to implement an easter egg, which means they will very likely use the same engine for it and are at some point already working on it.

I'm glad to see the goal reached within 13 days. Congrats, Revolution Games.
