If anyone is even remotely interested in platform games, puzzle games or just games that are unusual, you owe it to yourself to check this game out. I must admit that I've not played the PC version yet (getting the demo now) but unless its radically different than the xbox one then its brilliant and well worth the us$15.
Demo link
It's on a few sites now but this is the first place I saw the demo. Dunno what kind of DRM they use before anyone asks.

Nuff said.
Seriously though, I'm thinking of getting me hands on Braid, mostly because the guy who designed it has a funny surname (Jonathan Blow? HELLO!).
Oh my god I want to STRANGLE THAT IDIOT! How can anyone, even a rapper, be so goddamn annoying??
The game itself is amazingly good though
DLing the demo now..
But you know, it feels .. wrong to me. Just a little.
You can't lose. You can't die. You can't be held back by the inability to handle something... I like my video games to be somewhat forgiving, but to me that's just going too far.
Already beaten World one. The game is really amazing. Also, it's 13€ in euro zone.

Don't be put off by that, you can't die or lose but you can fail miserably and be humiliated when you finally see just how insanely simple the solution really is. Its a game that takes a while to completely finish to 100%, ESPECIALLY if you're going for the additional bonus of all the secret stars, there's an insane wait involved with one of them but it is worth it in the end.

Also, I preffer to be able to "rewind" so I don't have to repeat the whole level if I die. I actually think this "not dying stuff" is a great idea (the same as in the new Prince os Persia... except POP sucks and Braid is great).
closer to sands of time rather than the new crappy one
What with it's hand-holding and safety nets, it's curious fascination with presentation to a point that it would seem a better e-card than game, with reviews so jammed full of hyperbole and artistic bravado you have to wince at the blindingly painful pretensions of it all...
I was destined to hate this game.
Ahh but the time manipulation is NOT a safety net, its a major part of the story and an integral component of the puzzle nature of the game. Without it, it'd just be another pretty platform game and not something truly special.
Try the demo, you may well like it if you like platformers

I downloaded the demo tonight. I only played a little bit. Beautiful presentation and somewhat original. What I like the most though was the music. Reminded me of home :)
Awesome game and music... speaking of the music it's in package.zip/data/music! :)
Great game but $15 is too high for me, for this kind of game. I will wait for weekend deal or price cut. I can give $10 max.
After playing the demo for a few hours I realise that this game gets amazingly boring if played for too long at once. Nice background artwork though. Can't stand the artwork for the main character or the enemies. So I really doubt I'll pick it up.
I tell you though, it's funny seeing some of the fan boys for this game get all upset when you don't agree with them that this is the bestest thing EVAR!!!!1!

A Weekend Deal for a game this new? Come back in six months.
