“…the hostility in this thread exceeds my own tolerance for putting up with said hostility.
Also, to anyone, like you Ben, saying the game is like an “early beta” then well, please stay away from our games in the future. I consider it ready for release and if others disagree, don’t buy our games.”

For someone with a reputation of being pro-consumer he sure sounds like an asshole every time I read his words.
He already apologized for that.

And we've already discussed this

Oh, sorry. :)

Probably better to keep the politics of it in another thread and leave that one for the game itself.
This is the attitude he displayed at the release of Impulse when people such as myself did not wish to use it to download the best patch to date for Sins since every other patch had been a stand alone patch. It basically blew anyone off that did not like and ranted in the forums, and the next day his and other posts were gone. At that point I too was gone.
It's obvious. It's Steam's fault.

Isn't it always? Steam could be a smoking hot male or female (depending on preference) and people would still pick on it because they'd say it's too good looking ;)
This reminds me of the ending of the first episode of Bananaman:
"That's right fans - I've done it again! Now I must get home for supper."
Maybe he's a fan?

Yeah, but it's cheap like a ten dollar whore. ;)
I do kind of admire Brad for his continual foot-in-mouth syndrome. At least he's passionate enough about his game to go all protective boyfriend on it.

I suppose. He has spirit, that's for sure, though sometimes I think he's a bit angry considering how vocal he is in the gaming community.

I don't admire it, that guy is a special kind of crazy. I actually do think that's how he feels and I don't think he's super pro consumer; I think his company has made some money on selling itself as pro consumer and it's Brad's job to scream over anyone raising legitimate questions about Stardock's policies. He also seems like a control freak, they've always only distributed patches if you were willing to register because Brad didn't want non-customers getting any kind of support! I won't get into why that's especially insane with a sparkly "might make some sort of sense" wrapping paper.

Oh don't get me wrong, I mean admire him in a way that neither supports nor encourages Stardock's imaginary moral high ground. I admire him in the same way I admire politicians when they spout total crap yet keep a straight face. :)
