You can occasionally find them hidden in stashes, which makes it a little less painful.

I just finished this game. Fun game, if a bit sparse on the details. Make sure to grab all the alien alloy you can :D

If you find a swamp, you can trade the charm for double healing when eating meat.

Yep, that's what it's for. VERY useful against stronger enemies.

Any option to get the "executable" to play it offline at home?

(I've been able to do so with some flash games, like Little Wheel, but I'm lost with this one)

Also, the saves the game does from time to time work? I've invested a fair amount of time so far, and I'd hate to lose the progress when my Internet time ran out. ;)
