I haven't seen many instances of uncanny valley in games as they're typically too far from realistic for that to be true. It's more that they're trying to be realistic by making everything as bland as they can. That's what deters me.
Given the amount of potential there now is for highly stylised graphics, I see no reason for every game out there to mindlessly strive for realism even when the gameplay is wholly unrealistic by nature. Graphics can be detailed without being 'photo real'.
