That's excellent news. That also means they are quite free to go, as when they return to their home, I am very certain the government does not agree to send the back to Greece for the possible trial.

I hope.

On local TV it was just said that they have been charged and have to face the trial in the future.

Lucky for them they did not do that in Israel.

I recall a story about someone almost got sentenced to death for snapping pictures down there, but luckily got away with a stark warning - to never set a foot inside Israel again, or else.

Ain't they heading home? It was written like that in V2, the finnish gaming website. I thought that if you get home, the Greece's jurisdiction ends there?

But perhaps I am missing the point, that's a strong possibility.

They got to go home, but this deal was in part facilitated with the PM of the Czech Republic dealing directly with the PM of Greece. I'm expecting everyone to play by the rules at this point, since the alternative might sour relationship between the two countries (he says, not knowing anything about the current relationship).

Absolutely no idea, since I haven't found anything in the news when I looked for them, but as far as I know, when you are out on bail, you can't leave the country that's accusing you, and quite probably you can't leave the city you are in either. And if the charge is espionage? I would be really surprised.

On the other hand, it is possible that either they were extradited (sp?) or that the charges were (mostly) dropped, but a hearing should still take place.

Off to scour the greek news sites again.

According to czech gaming site, they are free to return to the CR, but the trial will be held, so the charges were not dropped.
