JudasIscariot: Would anyone recommend a Norse to team to a beginner that has played a couple of games?
Norse are pretty much glasscannon team. I played the first season with them and enjoyed them very much.

Everyone starts with block, except Yehetee (big guy) and Ulwerners (ST4) -> very easy time to start blocking. The only real weakness with norse is that they are mostly AV7.

So depending on how the dice go and who you play against, you can be super good even with lvl1 players...or your team may get hurt very very badly. Block does help there though.

Id say they are definitely the best av7 team for new player and as long as you remember you have av7, then they can handle pretty much any team with decent chance. Also when things go wrong and you have less than 11 players - the subsituting norse linemen are probably the best in game -> only ones that start with blocks + average stats.

amozons are similar, newbie friendly team

comparing to norse
more mobility
better ball handling skills
less bashy

I am looking for a more bashy team as I like being able to smack players around causing injuries so that if I lose it won't be without a fight :D

Well, Norse can definitely be bashy. I had two players left standing on the field at the end of my game against iipp0's Norse in the first season.
You could also consider Orcs which have a higher armor value than the Norse. Ocrs can have up to 4 ST4 players on the team if you like. And you can have a troll. Trolls are good.
I'm in.

but will Barry return? iunno. Haven't decided yet.

I did play Nurgle against the AI the other day and I liked the Foul Appearance skill but the lack of truly offensive skills and mobility kind of puts me off that team :/

Nurgle are one of those weird teams. Potentially very bashy and durable with regen (...50% time..supposed to anyways) - yet the rotters decay "skill" can kill that part of the pretty fast if you dont please Nuffle.

And yes, can pretty much forget about ball handling and fast scoring. Not khemri team, but close enough..

However, Pogo has done very well with them. Still the highest TV in league i think?

In that kind of play I'll recomend orcs better. They are strong, they can throw the ball around and their high AV makes them very durable.
I'll probably play orcs if I change from skaven.
That being said, norses are very strong, but have problems with the ball during a few matches

Ball handlingwise norse are just bit better than orcs actually.

In general norse are just a bit faster and have higher AG (black orcs got ag2 and goblins are stunty). In ball handling the only difference is that norse thrower starts with block + pass, while orc thrower starts with sure hands + pass. Orc thrower got av8 and mv5 while norse thrower has av7 and mv6.

So level one orc thrower can pick up the ball better than norse thrower, but norse thrower has more potential players to pass it to, is faster and has block to protect him when he gets blocked.

---

Ofcourse durabilitywise orcs are far more reliable than norse, especially after they get few skills under the belt.

BOYZ DA COACH SEZ DERE IZ A NEW SEASONZ ZUN! ME WANNA GO MASH N BASH DA 'OOMANS 'N' DA SKAVANZ 'N' DA ELVZ 'N' DA LIZ'RDZ 'N'...

WOT? IZ ME NEW 'OBBY IT IZ!

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHH...Errrr BLAAAAADBAAAAWWWLLLLL!!

(Ahem...signing up with Orcs :D)
I'm in. Not sure on the team. I might do some more practice games to get a feel of teams.
Signing on, keeping my wood elves (unless all teams are rebooted - in that case I might take Undead, but I'd have to think about it, and I'd prefer to keep my current team in any case).
If we are to have fresh teams, or if not and I do end up deciding to retire the lizards this season, pretty sure I'll be going the Nurgle route. The Nurgle Death Squad will have to show off their pretty faces.
In, but don't know yet what to play considering the re-roll.
