That's a lot better than most free-2-play MMOs out there. They make at least 100 million $ per month just from subs, let alone the pet shop, realm transfers and similar services. Going free to play, I doubt they'll be able to make that much.

The Emerald dream was 98% complete when WoW launched an area the size of all 3 main islands combined... it has never been used... It was expected as the first expansion.. we got outlands.. so it's gotta be emerald dream next.. oh no northrend it is... surely this time.. no they just fixed the original wow areas for flying mounts and opened areas that have been in game since release... *sighs*

I recently started replaying Warcraft III, and upon realizing how fucking fantastic that game is, I only have this to say.

Let WoW die already, so we can have another Warcraft RTS.

I can see it happening only after retcon of all WoW's fluffrapes and lorelols made in exchange for moar moneyz from WoW.

Either that, or they would have to pull new story important characters out of their arses to replace those who died in WoW. And that may or may not suck.

And in b4 fanboy defense Blizz has nothing done wrong, ever.

I really, really wanted to play the Emerald Dream, we honestly thought that would be the first expac back in the day.

I don't even think WC3 had enjoyable gameplay. Maybe I was just bad at it, dunno. Orcs were pretty unbalanced early game so it was hard to stop an early rush.

They've been coasting for most of the xpacs in many cases the maps already existed in the data files I mean consider the old IF that was considered too intensive at the time of release is still there you could even glitch into it until cata*... add to that all the places found using wall climbing that have never been used and theres a LOT of unused art in the original release much of which is now in the xpacs...

*may still be doable but I haven't played...

If you're referring to old world places, they are now all accessible with flying mounts... Hey, I remember a little house by the river just north-east of Stormwind, always wanted to go there during pre-Cataclysm. First thing I did in the expansion was go fishing there.

Meh, I'd be happy with continuing the story as it existed after Frozen Throne and pretending WoW never happened.
