Starting this thread to partially to spread awareness to people who don't lurk in the Kickstarter thread. I'm quite surprised this hasn't been talked about. They've got a playable (but unreleased) build, and it looks really good. I mean gahd dayum, just look at their latest video here:

From what I gather, it will be a mix of strategy (think Invasion mode from Skulltag) with Sacrifice/Battlezone's style of gameplay, in that you control one main character while giving orders. There's terrain destruction too, and if you've watched that video, you'll notice how impressive the technology is. I mean holy shit, look at all that stuff blowing up! After that video, this project easily made it to one of my most anticipated KS projects. The pledges are slow, sadly, but damn. Sacrifice in space vs hordes of enemies sounds like such a good idea.

Also in b4 Licurg's obligatory 'Buy sacrifice' post.

I saw Sacrifice in the title :)
As soon as I read "tower defense", I nearly stopped reading and left the thread. I'm getting really sick of tower defense. However, I decided to have a look at the video anyway, and I must admit that it looks really cool, and not very "tower defense-y". I wouldn't compare it to Sacrifice either. It looks like its own thing, which is good.

Yeah I was hesitating to use the phrase 'tower defense', because that was the bit that turned me off when I saw the KS for the first time.
