timppu: Kudos to CDPR though to make such content in a form of free DLC. :)

Grargar: How Dare They?! They are destroying Social Welfare by releasing it Free!
Thank you, that really made me laugh!

Btw, where did that pro-drm-thread go? Did GOG delete it, because it was trolling?
What if a developer puts out a DLC for one of their older games like with Postal 2? :D

I don't recall us deleting a thread...

There was a pro-DRM thread?! O_o I'm done! Some people just deserve to be miserable.

Neobr10: I guess you wouldn't buy games like Doom, DN3D, or Quake since they had a bunch of expansions and mission packs. Oh, don't forget about Neverwinter Nights, which had quite a few expansions. Rollercoaster Tycoon as well.
I didn't buy e.g. Neverwinter Nights and Heroes Chronicles until from GOG, deciding not to buy especially the latter, as I couldn't figure out back then how many chapters or additions there would be in the end (8, it seems). In retrospect, I'm happy I waited.

Then again if I've understood right the GOG version of NWN is not "complete" either, missing some online packs? Not sure (and that's why I dislike such dispersion, being in the dark whether there would be some relevant extra content I should get for it).

Of course if the missing packs or modules are free, that's fine then. Too bad if some of them can't be obtained anymore, in case they were any good.

Both pro-DRM and Anti-Free DLC. It was like a very special episode of the Twilight Zone.

Oh wow! That's either a new level of mental disorder or a new level of trolling.

AFAIK, we have all the expansions and modules for NWN 1. Not sure if we aren't missing a module but I believe they should all be there...
I was reading an interview with a guy from Vigil (Darksiders) and the new company they work for (Crytek USA) wants (from what I can gather) to do free games geared towards monetizing the DLC aspect of them. The argument is that as long as you don't spend more than €60 on DLC, you are still in the green regarding the purchase of the game

I guess they will wind up on the list.

It could be both at the same time!

Personally I absolutely HATE how the DLC trend has resulted in fewer games with mod tools. The list of AAA ganes with both is small :(

Darvond: I suppose it goes without saying, EA and Atari for RTC Mobile and Dungeon Keeper?
avatar
rawmilk905: I don't see RTC Mobile on here, and Dungeon Keeper is now the gold edition.
He's referring to the new Dungeon Keeper game called "Dungeon Keeper" that was released for mobile. The game is free, but is essentially unplayable without having to buy micro-transactions for everything. According to damien's list, GOG is still missing the Pirates of the Sword Coast, Infinite Dungeons and Wyvern Crown of Cormyr modules.

actually GOG is missing some premium modules: http://www.gog.com/forum/general/completionists_list_of_missing_games_from_gog_series/post4

and there is a serious demand for them:

Ahh right, those modules. I am not sure what was the deal with them as I remember those from back in the day when they were first released (think back when NWN was in box form and gracing store shelves). Perhaps those were on a time limited deal or something.

edit: we do, however, have all of the major expansions. That I know 100% :)

Now I see that those modules were premium modules and I think there were some issues with those, mostly legal ones. What the exact issues were, I don't know as of this time.

What the fuck? Literally. What is wrong with those developers?
