Requirement for the job: you must be able to paint a beautiful 3 meters long one handed sword.

StingingVelvet: If they spend more time making it I think it could be a great game. Honestly I liked the combat in DA2, I just didn't like the spawning from nowhere enemies. Honestly I liked the story direction and general ideas behind DA2, I just didn't like the piss-poor execution, lack of any choices and repeated content.
Take a lot of the motivations behind DA2 and spend more time developing and executing them and DA3 could be a great game if you ask me.

Besides one poorly though-out sequel doesn't instantly make Bioware (who up until then had had a run of 11 good to great games, from Baldur's Gate to Mass Effect 2) instantly suck.
I love how gamers who supposedly love RPGs reacted as soon as it became cool to hate on Bioware and their newest title. Way to be mature and objective, people.

I don't like the game because the story kept building up to nothing, there were glitches all over the place, the scenery was stagnant.
I was gearing up to enjoy it, unfortunately I was let down, but i've played far worse games, and DA2 doesn't mean that Bioware completely suck now.
Hey, maybe I should apply to work on DA3, could do some writing for them.

I agree - The rush to get this one out (DA2) will make many very wary of DA3. In no terms is Bioware on the worst list but this one mistake has made a lot of folks who would buy on release day wary. If they take the time to do DA3 right it will be great. However it will take a lot of pre-release exposure or a demo to get me to buy on release day.Take a lot of the motivations behind DA2 and spend more time developing and executing them and DA3 could be a great game if you ask me.

Who is hating? No one is saying Bioware became bad over night but people are concerned about the direction they are taking and thats a fair thing to do. I'm still going to pre-order ME3 because I have faith in that team but DA3? Not a chance, I shall be extremely cautious over any future Bioware games especially ones with Mike Laidlaw attached to them.

The release date will tell us a lot. If it comes out anytime before Christmas 2013 I will be very wary of it. I remember opening my Dragon Age: Awakening box and seeing that ad for Dragon Age 2 coming in March 2011 and I was just like "wow... really?" It seemed so fast, and sure enough it was way too fast.

Coelocanth: Delixe, where did you see this statement? Just curious if it was a one-off or part of an article/interview.
It was on the BSN a comment by Melo on I think the thread announcing the DLC armor packs. Click the Bioware logo and it will only show responses from devs/evil. Found it
Where is my story dlc?
For what it is worth we are continuing to work on story dlc, it's just that these have been pushed back in order to give them the time necessary to properly address not only the feedback from DAO DLC (which was always the plan), but also what we can address (within the limits of DLC) from the post launch DA2 feedback. So basically, these will take time - we'll talk about them officially when we get closer.

That's your opinion.
Judging from the scores it got, most people disagree, and I for one felt it was their best game since BG 2.
One of the reasons why I felt so let down by DA 2 was because I felt they only needed to fix a few flaws in DA's gameplay and produce a better story to make it really great. Instead they went in the completely wrong direction.
That doesn't mean they'll keep going in the wrong direction though.
Judging from this forum and a few others I'm watching, you're wrong about people hating on Bioware though. Now that they've made a bad game, there are plenty of forum posters who seem to find it necessary to inform people how they've hated Bioware's games all this time.

I agree with you, actually. Bioware ruined all the goodwill they had accumulated from me with DA 2, so no more preorders. Still I'd say it's 50/50 whether they'll learn from that mistake or keep on doing it. Judging from this forum and a few others I'm watching, you're wrong about people hating on Bioware though. That's just the internets at work. It's so easy to complain. If you look at some Elder Scrolls forums they have already written off Skyrim as mass market shit because in their opinion Oblivion was rubbish. They forget Morrowind and Daggerfall so easily and conveniently forget Shivering Isles which was a return to form. Same with people who refuse to play New Vegas because they hated Fallout 3.
