jefequeso: I just found the phrase "quiet silence" amusing. Kind of like "loud commotion" or "illogical woman" (HA! I've now brought sexism into this thread!)
------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not sure I have anything much to say in reply to your other post :P. There's nothing there to argue with.
------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I guess I could just restate that I think it was pretty obvious from the beginning that Roman's post was going to get downrepped. That sort of thing (a post that invites the ubiquitous emotionally charged response to perceived racism) doesn't survive for long (I'm actually surprised the initial response wasn't more aggressive).
-----------------------------------------------------------------
And also, I don't think there's anything at all wrong with calling people out for things that you think are wrong. It's not an intrinsically bad thing. But also, I think it's important to realize that it isn't intrinsically GOOD either. Speaking your mind plainly and openly even if it might offend people...well, it very rarely changes anyone. When they get angry, most people will shut down any willingness they might have to admit that they're wrong. And admitting wrong is something that 99% of the population is never going to do, even if they're not extremely pissed off at the person they're arguing with. So in cases where you are actually trying to change someone's mind, the best approach is usually the gentle, cautious approach. Do everything you possibly can to make sure they feel like you're someone worth listening to, and not a threat. You know that whole routine they do in movies? Where a heated argument usually ends with some pithy, profound one-liner that leaves the other character dumfounded and speechless? Yeah... that never actually happens.
I thought it fit that reply I made so I ran with it......also you misogynist! :P

:)
---------------------------------------------------
Well you could agree with something or just reply neutrally. 0.o
--------------------------------------------------
It depends on the forum and the people visiting it I guess. But now that you mention it it wasn;t too bad(the opposition I mean.)
-------------------------------------------------
I can still try, can't I? ;)

(I like this numbering system you're using. I might just steal it)

1) true
2) no reply, just here for the sake of keeping ALL THE NUMBERS
3) Yeah, no reason you can't try. As I implied, the choice is really yours. And there are some rare individuals who aren't as susceptible to "turning off" as others. Also, I guess I shouldn't underestimate the power of "planting a seed." They might not initially admit they're wrong, but later down the road it might be different.

I use numbering to organize my longer posts and thought to make it easier for me and other replying to see what replies to what and how it is all structured. Feel free to use it....I don't mind. (Though I may send Gino down to collect a payment for using it every so often...capiche?)

1. Yup
2. Ok then
3. True....true.

No, they're only trying to control the forums and pretend that they're awesome.

How dare a private company control their own forums...
TRORR THREAD.
END OF RINE.

Bioware has become an embarrassment to the game industry as a whole, and I'm loving every minute of it. While I enjoyed their older works, the newer games they have created have been pretty mediocre by far. Not to mention their employee's unprofessional attitude.

Anybody have the Twitter post where Helper claims superiority over 'bullies' because she has a job in the game industry and a vagina?

If not, here's more fuel to add to the fire anyways. Always enjoyable to see a General Manager resort to childish insults.

What's even better in my case is that since bumping my thread, someone else has gotten so mad that they have (-)'ed my Opening post

Someone either does not understand the point of this thread or simply did not read my explanation

Yes, it would truly be much more noble to sit back and just watch while an employee gets torn to shreds because overly entitled gamers are angry. That's a MUCH better solution...

You want attention, and get it by acting like a 12 year old whenever a AAA game you don't like approaches release. It really isn't a difficult point to get, dude.

You got it toally wrong. No one is complaining about ME3 itself, ME is a great series, and im sure that ME3 will be a great game. No one wants to get some attention. What they do want is to have their rights as consumer respected. ME3 recent news about a paid day one DLC with a very important character that plays a major role in MEs plot is something really worrying and worth complaining about. EA/Bioware attempts to rip their consumers off have crossed the borders of whats acceptable. Its disgusting. Its ridiculous.

And dont you dare complain on Biowares forums, becase you WILL get banned. Oh, and you know the best part about it? Your forums account is linked to your Origins account, so if you get banned from the forums you lose access to all your games. Feels great, doesnt it?

Do you really think we should just sit and watch it? No, i dont. This is a uge threat to the games industry. And if we are complaining, it means we do care about the game and do want to buy it. This isnt just nonsense bashing.

First of all: "Attention" is not the reason why I make these threads

Second: you are the one acting like the description you described above

Third: This has nothing to do whether I "Don't like" or "like" the games, If a Company, Publisher or Developer does anything dirty/wrong/immoral - I will call them out on it and EA and Bioware have done many of those things, especially this generation

So, you're saying a game that isn't out yet is doomed to fail because of things done with completely unrelated games? In what world does that make sense? Or is it more than you simply pulling a Chicken Little and screaming about the sky falling?

If you are talking about my other thread: I was posting and pointing out the things that should always Raise red alarms before the release of the game, I already clearly stated what they are

Regardless, if the game is going to be good or not, the kind of stuff that EA is pulling with ME3 is unacceptable, if you want to talk about that: Please post in that topic to avoid off-topic in this one, thanks
