Hardly a countdown worthy event though

Exactly, I am not enthralled by the EA/Bioware marketing machine these days. Codename: Hyperbole.
OMFG IT'S... an error message! haha I guess I'm not the only one waiting to see what it is
"The BioWare websites; online store; master server; and online authentication are temporarily unavailable. Sorry folks; we're having a few technical difficulties. Those pesky Gnomes are banging away at the giant; steam-producing clockwork computers we keep in the basement guarded by Swikky the dire squirrel. We will be back up as soon as we can."
Seems to be something new on the bioware social site called Bazaar (but its not loading). Implies a marketplace so I'm hoping that you can buy their old games online rather than buy lame tshirts for your dragon age characters...
Finally loaded, it's an auction type thing, collecting tokens through various challenges and tasks (registering games for example) and bid with those to get some pretty swanky prizes
BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE IN AMERICA
I never thought I'd utter these words but "Fuck you Bioware"

According to a forum post I saw (second result on Google for 'Bioware Countdown'), it's a contest only open to the US.
Bioware Bazaar.... really? and US-only too?
words fail me.
They don't fail on the forum, there's already 2 pages of complaints in the countdown speculation thread
US only and yet the stupid countdown was displayed for everyone to see. I do so love it when my favorite companies reward my loyalty with a swift kick to the balls.
It's not so much the lame event, it's the only in America thing that makes it fail the most. You have a website that can be seen WORLDWIDE, you expect your countdown to have worldwide ramifications.
Wonder if it'd be worth moving to planet america one day...

around 6 now looks like the epic is just beginning.
To really rub salt into the wounds it looks like Bioware are going to be promoting the Bazaar on Twitter as well. Which of course can be read worldwide. I'm actually considering blocking them now as it's just Spam as far as I am concerned.

I'm going to bed now, I expect it to be the longest thread on the forum by the time I get up...

Spam them back with the list of their games you've bought and how much you've supported them over the years

Well, that was complete bullshit, i wonder who came up with the brilliant idea of hyping up a regional restricted competition.

If I thought it would do any good I would. However it's quite clear that Bioware really don't give a shit. They have a very active community as it is where fans proudly register their games to display on their profiles. They still chose to take this bazaar (see what I did there?) decision knowing it would upset a lot of their fan base. The same fans that went out an bought their rushed barely expansion Awakenings.
