I actually had two Voodoo 2s at one point and tried to run them in sli mode but failed because they were different brands. Then I sold them for 10usd each like a fool, I woulda made fortune of them now on ebay, I think -_-

hardware specs haven't been relevant in years now. anyone notice that? i can't even remember the last time i checked a game's hardware requirements. as long as your PC is reasonably up to date, you can buy anything and it'll run just fine.

as for BioShock: Infinite, the hardware specs are old news, i think. i've known about the 30GB install for months, and it doesn't surprise me anymore. most of my more recent games have been 10-30GB in size. i got the game pre-ordered, so i'm ready for anything Levine intends to throw at me.

FC2 is like 90% grassland you lay down the ground then let the code generate the grass onto it no need for masses of textures etc

Actually the installation size of FC2 (Fortune's Edition, GOG) is 3.29 GB, uncompressed. But yeah...

Also where did you check for the FC3 being 15 gigabytes in size? The HD requirement specs in e.g. Steam pages usually seem to put little extra to the actual installation size, but I guess someone who has FC3 installed now can easily check the actual FC3 directory size that Windows reports.

Recommended specs are pretty much my specs. Might have to turn a few things down to keep a steady high framerate, but that's been true this past year for a lot of games.
