Kinda makes sense. Bioshock 2 was a rather "meh" experience compared with the impact the first one left. I'd go so far to say that only the multiplayer part was a step forward. So taking the whole concept into a different environment probably makes sense.
... that and the fact that companies seem to be rather eager running franchises into the ground with yearly spin-offs / follow-ups...

If only they raised the city a bit higher we could have had System Shock 3.....
Oh well, one can always hope

I think it's great, but I wish it wasn't an FPS. If you're going to doing something this awesome, it seems a bit of a waste to make it in an FPS again.
