bansama: I'm actually interested but I won't be able to put any money forward until the 5th of next month.

michaelleung: Me neither. I get a shitload of cash on Chinese New Year but that's on the 14th.

Thank god for Chinese New Year.
Can't wait to see how much I can get this year.
is there some method whereby one can temporarily become chinese? sounds like a sweet deal

Paint yourself yellow and move to Beijing (judging by what I read in the news, China looks more welcoming than Australia ever was)
I'm going to wait for reviews, it sounds either terrible, or not quite good enough to be a PC game
Hold off on the 4-pack at least. We don't even know if the multiplayer is any good.

Perhaps some of us don't care for the multiplayer...

Just say "Gong Xi Fa Cai" to a chinese on Chinese New Year.
They should give you a red packet filled with cash.
The more related they are to you, the more cash you get.
Cash is king indeed.

This. Multiplayer is made by the guys who made UT2004 (Digital Extremes), not by 2K Marin, so I think at the least it will be good enough.

Now this is an interesting custom. To which I have two questions.
1. If I am not chinese, am I still eligible for a gift?
2. If I am not chinese, am I still required to give a gift?
If 1 = Yes and 2 = No, then 1+2 = HUEG PROFITZ.

1. If you are not chinese, you are still eligible for a gift.
2. It only applies if you are married officially (ie. no longer single), probably doesn't matter whether you are chinese or not. I pretty sure a few more other Asian culture practise this.
Back on track to Bioshock 2, the system requirements have been released. I'll post the recommended ones, because we all know the minimum ones are pure fiction.
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Dual Core 2.60Ghz, Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 Dual Core 2.13Ghz
Memory: 3GB
Graphics: NVIDIA 8800GT 512MB graphics card or better, ATI Radeon HD4830 512MB graphics card or better
The specs are fairly modest, requiring an 8800GT or HD4800 series at least for fluent play.
However, we also know this:
Initial installation requires one-time internet connection; Ability to save game, earn achievements, receive title updates and online play requires log-in to Games for Windows LIVE; software installations required including Microsoft Visual C++2008 Runtime Libraries, Games for Windows LIVE client, Games for Windows LIVE Client Patch, Sony DADC SecuROM, Microsoft DirectX.
Bioshock 2 uses the same engine as Bioshock, right? Unreal Engine 3, with bits and pieces of Unreal Engine 2.5, yes? Resonable enough for me.
I have bought it from Steam this morning.
Sharing with the other 3 persons I know from Malaysian forums.
The buyer of the 4 packs can choose who to gift the Bioshock 1 to. It does not have to be bundled with Bioshock 2.
For me it would be a lot cheaper to get from elsewhere. The standard Steam version of the game is the same price as fucking MW2. Suffice to say that the discount isn't enough to tempt me. I'd want to be looking at about half of what the Steam price is.

I would imagine that it was at least fully Unreal 3 this time around. The last game was released quite some time before UT3, hence the unfinished engine.

I read that they're using the same engine tech as last time, save for a few minor graphical improvements.
