CrazyDiscoBall: While I do like the new look of GOG, I am growing extremely tired of waiting for a decent good old FPS to be released. The last FPS I can think of was XIII, Chaser and Serious Sam TSE.

Considering that you now have EA and Activision I can't see why we haven't seen the release of such titles like the Medal of Honor series, Soldier of Fortune series or Freedom Fighters or other shooter games, regardless if the are a FPS or TPS.

I am sorry if I sound ungrateful but I am getting fed up seeing every release being some RPG or an adventure game.
They don't control what games they get. Chances are, they've asked for more from the big publishers. But the publishers probably refused them - they'd prefer to sell them without GOG getting a cut. EA keeps Battlefield 3 Origin-only, for example. So it's really outside GOG's control.

Would be great if Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds could be added to the catalogue :) Any news or chance if this?
"Newer
Don’t worry, no matter how new we’re getting, GOG.com will always stick to our three core values: No DRM, Fair Pricing, and Love for our GOG-ers. Newer means simply newer games, whether they’re big, recognized names, indie games, day-one releases, or pre-orders. Pre-order for Legend of Grimrock for only $11.99 today, or pick up Trine and The Whispered World right now; Spacechem, Machinarium, and Darwinia are coming soon. We have more than 20 great indie and newer games signed on GOG.com that will be showing up in the next few months.. These games lead the way on our the transition from Good Old Games to simply GOG.com. It doesn’t matter what G, O, and G stand for, Gee Oh Gee dot com stands for high-quality, DRM-free gaming, each week with bigger and newer games."

Oh what a good old time. Well at least we still have No DRM and Love. :)

samedizombie: That's all well and good but aren't there enough sites which already cater for indie games etc?

Seems to me this is the start of a different path for GOG and I'm not sure I like where it's going.

We shall see...
Famous last words?

Hopefully they get rid of Love as well. No DRM is well enough for me... they can save the love for their friends and family.
