I mentioned this in a few places as well. I totally agree, as a Mac user I want the Mac version if it's available. Right now, Trine from here is $9.99 and directly from the devs it's $9.99 but they give you Linux, Mac and Windows versions.

They should just include it as a "bonus". Let the devs do the troubleshooting & support.

Did anyone find out what these are? So far the only difference I noticed is that my meticulously organized manual arrangement was reset ... ;)

Now you can hide the games you don't want to see on your shelf, but I don't know if there are any other new features though.

I'm a big fan of GOG, have been for years, hope to continue to be, and I know we have already been over this and most people agree you're making the right move, but these new games and price tags are bullshit.

Edit: thankfully GOG is picking old-school new games. Great move bringing Introversion Software by the way, they develop no-nonsense high-quality hardcore old-school games.

I also vote for removing the top bar, or putting it back to non-scrolling like it used to be. More of an irritation than a feature in my opinion.

Also, like many others that have posted, I already have the humble bundles, which covers many of the games released today as well as Machinarium which is on the "coming soon".

Oh, okay. I hoped it was something like additional shelves or sorting criteria, but oh well, I guess that serves some purpose too. :D

Hm, I wonder what happens if you hide a game, how will you be able to find it again?

EDIT: Ah, I just noticed if you move a game to a different place on your shelf, it doesn't switch places with another game anymore but is inserted and all games following it are pushed back one slot. That's neat. :)

'Hiding' the game only seems to make it semi-transparent, but it's still there and visible. You can then click it again and unhide it.

I can't say I'm impressed by today's releases or the coming soon list. These are all widely available games (or, in the case of Grimrock, a game we're better off buying from the devs). They're good, yes, but having them here is no big deal at all. Hopefully you'll have a good retro release or two lined up for thursday.

(That said, if someone for some reason don't own any of these games already, they're all worth buying and you might as well buy them here I guess)

I was really upset when I saw my custom arrangement spoiled by a reset. Took me about an hour to get it back to normal.
Actually, when you reload the shelf page, they're completely hidden. There's a button at the bottom that lets you see them, and then you can unhide them permanently if you so choose.

Hiding a game doesn't make it visible at all for me, it gets put on a lower shelf that doesn't even appear unless you click on "show hidden games" and then the page gets bigger


edit- I missed the whole conversation. I see what you mean now when you just switch the boxes. The next time you visit your game shelf it will be completely hidden though

Not sure I like the new site, especially the top bar being everpresent no matter what.

Couldn't stand the social media filth at the bottom of every page either, but managed to Adblockplus out that part. Hardly an option for the top bar, as I actually need that once in a while.

Like that new(er) games will be available though. But most of all I'd like some old classics like Monkey Island, Bloodlines and Carmageddon.

I love good new indie games,however,I hope GOG to select carefully what games that should rival classics even over 10 years after are sold and how price at them.Price of over $9.99 is simply not good for indies.

If you think indies are so inferior to the classic that it's not worth to pay more than $10 dollars for them, just don't buy them. Or wait for a sale or the time when they will count as "old" games, too, in a few years and hopefully lower the prices then. Keep in mind these are newer games and part of the profit still goes to the actual developers, not just the publishers holding the license.

Personally, I'm willing to pay (a little) more than $10 for a new game, but it depends. I think $12 for a completely new release like Grimrock is awesome, as for Trine, most people probably already got it for less, but $10 is still a fair price, The Whispered World for $15 might be a little overpriced by now, especially considering the lack of multi-language support (you can get the original retail for less), but not by much. Anything up to $15 is still a fair price for a decent game with several hours of gameplay in my book, even or sometimes particularly if it's an indie game.
