I'm sure some Spelling Nazi's already pointed this out, but there's a typo on the front page in 'Lastest headlines'. Should be Latest.

That is all.

Could you please add Driftmoon and Krater, when they'll be released?
Soooo...based on the "newer" game lineup, the powers that be behind GoG decided that they want to be....Desura. Great.

There's something to be said about serving a niche, and with few missteps GoG did great at aiming at the nostalgia gaming crowd. Now they're jumping into the fray of every other digitial distributor out there and leading off with..."well worn" (putting it mildly) indie titles and a preorder on a modern Dungeon Master/Eye of the Beholder update.

MEH.

Ric1987: How come these threads don't have the news post at the top anymore?
I was just noticing the same thing...
Here is a list of my comments:
It doesn’t matter what G, O, and G stand for, Gee Oh Gee dot com stands for high-quality, DRM-free gaming, each week with bigger and newer games.
Important change in very basic philosophy - well, I do not like it, I preferred previous "explanation" - but I understand that you need to go forward so as long as you also still release old games in greater majority I will be fine I guess. Just do not change your focus to new titles!
Fresher GOG.com means changes to the website layout, which now offers a more modern look
That change in top menu bar must be gone. I do not like it very very much. :/
Why do I have different font on the list of games I own?
My collection of games - it is a total disaster - no spaces between games, my manually done order has completely gone!
Forum posts with NEWS must have GOG's introduction first post back!
Really bad setup of front page - I need bigger news texts (and please do that back on left side) - I can get list of games on other pages so I do not need this feature as big as it is now.
Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus accounts at the footer of every page
Some people could like it but for me it's bleh. More scripts to block on GOG - it was so "nice and clean page" before.. :(
indie games
As long as indie games will not be "simple casual" ones I am fine with it. But please do have that in mind.

I miss the old, nice GREENness of the whole outfit. I loved the green! I don't really like the whole greyness of the site, but everything else is nice. Love the new games coming out, and i like the whole new UI thing... well, besides the color! Pretty good job, Good Ol -- gog.com!
It bothers me a lot that the release made no mention of older games, or of continuing to release older titles. There's an awful lot of emphasis on "NEW!!!1!", and even if there are classic games in the queue for release now. it isn't hard to imagine a situation where the site just kind of gradually stops offering classic titles.

A lot of the titles here on GOG are exclusive to the site, and even ones that aren't - like the Fallout series - benefited from the site's policy of making sure games were compatible on modern systems.

The indie games are nice, I guess, but when the developers already have DRM free versions available and cheaper versions available through Steam's regular sales or the indie bundles, it's hard to get excited. Even if I didn't already own Trine, why would I buy it from GOG when I could just get it straight from the developers for the same price with the same benefits?

I'm worried that the site has just lost its focus, and the only thing that really set it apart from all of the other game stores available online. And the only thing I can do right now is wait it out, and hope that I'm wrong.

Agreed, but I think we might end up being in the minority.

Agreed. Many times I just go to the forums for the news. I imagine they'll fix this soon.

Agreed, but I think this is the way the internets work these days.

Overall, I think the redesign could be a lot worse and I like most of the changes. Plus, the fact that newer games are coming here might help GOG's bargaining power to get more developer / publisher agreements.

Dude, you're thinking too much into this. Of course they're gonna keep doing old games. It makes you seem really paranoid to believe otherwise.
And here I was hoping for Myst V to finally be released here after the official press release and Cyan Worlds updating their product page.

But no. Let’s advertise some indie games. I love my indie games but I don’t see GOG as a place to discover (or buy) them. Sorry.

Because the new system allows them to offer games, no matter the developer, DRM-free and even offer pro-orders for games like Legend of Grimrock.

Now, are we really this jaded to think that GOG will stop releasing classic PC games? With this new change, I may finally be able to begin a full transition from Steam to GOG.
AAA new and newer titles ? Now I can't wait !

Oh no, I have enough faith in GOG. I would just have liked this bit of news much better had it mentioned the addition of some new old games as well.

The more places to make the step to selling DRM-free software—really selling software, instead of leasing them out—the better. I guess I just hoped for something else, that’s all I was trying to say.

Don't worry; we will still be releasing classic PC Games every week. Indeed we have several fantastic ones coming in the next six weeks that should be real crowd-pleasers.

cymrean: Where is that new wishlist. I see no link.

SoanoS: Bottom of the page, under "Help us Improve GoG.com.
That's where I found it. :)
Thanks.

Gonna vote for some games now.
