The stuff I can recommend top of my head:

Mark of the Ninja

OMD

Space Marine (could be in the HTHQB soon however)

Games I don't recommend:

Deadlight: Nice concept, but bad technical implementation and somewhat clunky controls. Maybe for 5$, but not more.

And how on Earth is Port Royale 3 a gamepad game !?!?!?!?!?!

Edit:

And in a typical Stem move: Their "controller fully supported" tag doesn't even have a picture yet ...

Does anyone have an idea how to launch Steam directly in the Big Picture mode?
Looks like they still need to work on this.. UI looks very unfinished

I don't know how to do that, but I do know that they support activating it with the Xbox guide button if Steam is already running in the background.

Would be a way, but I would rather have Steam to launch with normal UI by default and have a simple extra shortcut to make it launch in BP mode. Isn't there some kind of launch flag for that?

Oh, didn't notice that during the beta. Thanks!

SimonG: snip
I have my eyes on Mark of the Ninja looks really amazing... but would still wait for a bigger discount on this
Alright, Intrusion 2 is a piece of crap.

It slows down and the controls are iffy. (And if my PC can run modern games on high, he should run this without slowdowns ... )

Also, the first level, before any good action starts, you need to roll stupid stones around to reach ledges. In a twin stick shooter. . This is fun in games like Mark of the Ninja. Or Deadlight. But not in a frikkin twin stick shooter.

At least it was no big waste

Wait till you get to the areas, where you get tons of objects colliding on the screen, burying powerups and turning movement into hell. THEN you'll call it crap for real.
I called it crap when I looked at the screenshots.

Really want Port Royale 3 but not liking the price yet. Hoping for a price drop before the Xmas sale.

Well it's got a demo, which tells you that it's a piece of crap beforehand. Well... I wouldn't call it a piece of crap, it's actually supposed to be awesome if you're into it, but ... I hated it
Sine Mora for cheap? Don't mind if I do.

Those were pretty much my exact thoughts after I bought it during the last sale though I didn't play it very long.. Some people at neogaf recommended it so I bought it. I didn't think it was very fun, especially the rock part that you mentioned

The game hasn't been out for a month and it's already sold at such a low price. :\
Wonder if it works in 640 by 480 over s-video as thats the best TV I have.

keeveek: My God....

Who the hell was designing this shit...
First time I saw a screen shot of that I thought someone took MS Paint and drew that in from how out of place it looks.
