Tantrix: Anyway, it's 400 watt

stonebro: Not enough to power the newer tech cards. You'll want 550-650 for that, preferably a recognized brand, since you'll want spare wattage also. Don't get greedy on the PSU, a faulty unit can wreck your entire computer.

So I have to replace this thing? Hm,guess I have to ask someone doing it for me...

If you can change a lightbulb without A) breaking the bulb, B) breaking the socket, C) breaking the wall, D) suffering horrible death by electrocution, you can change a PSU.
Open case, disconnect power cables from units, unscrew old PSU, inscrew new PSU, reconnect power cables to units, close case, push button, receive bacon
He's not posting, maybe he blew up his computer.

Hm, doesn't sound too hard. But I rather ask a proffessional than doing it myself. I have a certain self mistrust when it comes to modifying stuff.
Care to suggest a good PSU?

Look Tantrix's ghost, here's the deal. A "proffessional" (read: high schooler) will do little work and charge a lot, and in the end you won't get any EXP points and you won't gain a level. Also, how'll you get over your mistrust if you don't start with the easy work?

I meant by "professional" my brother, who is a tech geek.
