I have no admiration or sympathy for these bloody hackers. Their motivation is not to point at security-holes or unlawful posession of userinformation. They just want to feel important or clever by bullying people around. Take a look at the "demands" they are posting. Ridiculous buch of feckin' idiots!

The cargo has been leaked on TPB if anyone wants to get a glimpse of what's in there.

Those hackers.. well, they harm those who buy games and don't have a breakfast unless it is beer. All is well, some group made something.. But why? And with what cause..
Edit: it's good to find a flaw or bug but do it for x-box also. Sony is a good company. And no, I don't own nothing anymore from them. But that my friends had nothing to do with hacking.
I think that those basterds are enlisted by microsoft. Ir's closest to PC and so most hackable. So do that and I don't hate you. =)

Apparently the shower behind this hack is the group known as The Lulz Boat or LulzSec http://twitter.com/#!/lulzsec They are demanding hats from Bethesda. They also accept donations in the form of bitcoins to keep making Teh Lulz.
Idiots.
Idiots.

But who are they benefitting? Us? Not likeliy.
Isn't that the reason we have job.. Those skills could be used then.
Pretty fast internetproviders block my net 'cos they have to. What i have seen.. Canada is most coolest in that area.
So.. Hackers find weaknesses and if that is that. All right. But if they take even one persons personal informartions. It sucks ass.
So what is point in this?
There will be always system where someone can hack. Mostly to profe something. Hardly to steal.
I fon't5 live by the book.. any book.. well pewrhaps donald duck-style.
But these actions will hurt consolebusiness.
And it's all good 'cos who wants a dead PC-gamers.. No one. =)

I have an account of the Bethesda forums, but looking through the data that lulzsec published it doesn't look like they grabbed that data. I'm still treating my username/e-mail/password as compromised, but I've already changed my password and the previous password wasn't re-used on any other sites so the potential damage is pretty minimal.
I'm actually rather glad that the security on so many sites is getting breached by a dumb-ass group of braggarts like lulzsec. Far, far too many companies simply don't take security seriously resulting in a massive number of vulnerabilities. lulzsec is actually managing to draw some attention to this fact, and if someone is going to breach a bunch of sites I'd much rather it be a bunch of loud-mouthed script-kiddies than a group intent on quietly using the information to do some actual harm.

They want to expose security flaws, that's fine and I applaud that, but by releasing all this info they are not just exposing a flaw, they are hurting everyone who should have benefited from their exposure of that flaw. Thanks, but no thanks.
