Wishbone: Hehe, ain't that the truth... ;-) The forum too, for that matter. But all in all, the beta status is a matter of when GOG decide to be "no longer in beta", that's pretty much all there is to it.

Oldski: Pretty much the case although we'll try to stop being in beta as soon as we are able.
There's still plenty that we want to do, in terms of features (where the beta sign is most handy) and in terms of expanding our games catalogue :)

Maybe a little OFF topic but i don't want a 100th request topic. Would you guys consider to show the last poster next to "created by"? As you are still beta. :-)

There is already a thread about suggestions for changing the forums (which I can't find right now, of course), including that very suggestion, as well as the "GOG Features Wishlist" thread:
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/gog_039_s_features_wish_list/382/1
Also, if you have an idea for the site, they do have the beta feedback e-mail you can use. Every suggestion I have made has actually gotten a response, even if it is usually just a "thanks for the suggestion".

OK man, thx. :-)
