I played Rayman Origins (PC Demo) and I loved it.. but which of the three on GOG is the best?

My favorite has to be the first one (guess I like 2D side-scrollers). Be careful, though. It's one tough son of a bitch (never managed to complete it myself).

Rayman 2 is also excellent if you like 3D platformer and was considered simply the best at the time of it's release.

I've been struggling to beat Rayman 1 for a few months now. I'm only halfway through.

Rayman Forever is the only 2D game of the bunch if you want something more similar to Origins. Rayman 2 and 3 are both about even, good 3D platformers.

Personally for me, I enjoy Rayman Forever the most. The 3D games are fun but Forever has better level design imo and more content with the user made levels. If you enjoyed Rayman Origins and don't mind playing alone you'll likely enjoy it. I've only played through part of Origins so Forever could be more difficult also, not sure how hard Origins gets in later levels.

And is there any mods that allow me to play co-op in any way?

I'm not sure as I've never looked for mods but probably not.

Rayman Forever - usually it's a matter of opinion, in this case it's not.

Rayman Forever is the best Rayman game, but on GOG, it's Rayman 2.

Rayman 2, this is a huge nostalgia bias but it's the best platformer I've played. Atmosphere is second to none AND it has pirates.
