I think the only fighting game I ever got into was Def Jam: Fight for New York. The campaign was several hours long and I lost count how many times I've finished it.
Puzzle games: Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes. That game is amazing.
I'm not a big fan of first person shooters because my reflexes are awful. In fact, if given the option to name the character I'm playing, I put. something like "Dead Meat" or "Star Trek Redshirt".

But there's this old shooter game that I really enjoyed called House of the Dead. I don't know why it appealed to me, it just did.
Crash Team Racing. I don't like racing games, but I played this one so much I got really good. Bizarre, but I really enjoy even remembering it.

I am not particularly fond of strategy games - tried several because setting or story seemed interesting - but most of the time I am turned off by the poor presentation and the lack of atmosphere so that I can't enjoy the epicness of an unfolding battle.

But then there was the Homeworld Series - maybe it's the influence of nostalgia, but these games take a special place in my heart. This soundtrack that compliments the visuals and let's you "feel" the vastness of space ... and the campaign ... I am still impressed how they made such a huge impression with just some black and white cinematics between the missions and in-game with radio transmission.

Still remembering certain moments of the story. - Also some cool moves made possible by the 3D movement.
*Think you can block me with these capital ships? Passing by right above you, harhar* ^^

Myth: The Fallen Lords (and Myth II: Soulblighter). I've never cared for RTS games. I tried them, but found most of the gameplay to be tedious (mining, building, upgrading, blah blah blah). Myth ditches all of that and just focuses on battle tactics.

Play it with the Magma Project patch though, or they don't work on modern computers.
JetMoto, The only racing game I ever liked. Well there was destruction derby witch I enjoyed.
There seems to be a lot of racing games brought up so far, so I'll add mine to the list: F-Zero X. I had a lot of fun getting all of the trophies for every car for every race on master.

I usually am not fond of actual management games but I've been having fun with Football Manager 2012.
I usually hate sports games (not counting racing games), but I remember it being possible to modify the rules enough in NHL 94 (SNES) to actually make it fun.
Also Blades of Steel for the NES was surprisingly fun.
And finally Blood Bowl, but that is more of a sports themed TBT than a "true" sports game (I obviously did not play it in real time mode, because that was a pointless and horrible addition).
Generally don´t like point and click games, but enjoyed Botanicula a lot.
I hate sports games but I love the Football Manager games.

I hate racing games but things like Mario Kart I enjoy a lot.
I'm not a fan of racing games or trading card games, but I enjoyed playing NFS Shift and Shadow Era.
Not a fan of RTS, but a huge Dawn of War fan.
