niniendowarrior: I like Mafia 1 and 2's main menu a lot.
I was going to say Mafia 1 too.
However I don't get why you also quoted Mafia 2's menu? If I remember correctly, Mafia 2's menu is really nothing special. I recall being disappointed by this the first time I launched the game, because I really loved Mafia 1's menu and I expected something original for its sequel too...
Oh god this is a hard choice. There are so many great menus in games I cant even think of one right now off the top of my head xD but I do agree I love the one in Evil Genius.
Red Alert 3's main menu..

I spent like 30 minutes to just staring at the screen, listening the music..

Edit. nevemind... Knee's failing here like a boss.

KneeTheCap: ...
Heh, when I've seen it, it's actually reminded me of Evil Genius main menu quite a bit. Speaking of Red Alert, you've reminded me of installer of RA2. Now I want to make another topic about creative installers ... Shame we don't get those anymore.

I think the first game where I spent a lot of the time on the title screen was Hitman 2:

The epic music and agent 47's pose combined with those clouds... somehow it totally got me. In retrospect unspectacular, I know.

Blood Money's title screen was intriguing to say the least:

I mean, who didn't ask himself what the deal is with agent 47's funeral? I became even weirder with the camera angle changing as you progress through the campaign and your targets disappearing from the benches. And especially when the main theme kicked in:

The track totally blew my mind back then. Beautiful times when Jesper Kyd still had his own distinct style.

Then there was Hidden & Dangerous:

Pure madness. Suddenly those big explosions and this crazy simple music. It drove me crazy in an awesome way. :D

Aaaaaand... Xenon 2 Megablast!

Pure coolness. :D
Remember Ecco the Dolphin's menu? The game starts up with you playing the dolphin. Swim left and you enter a password. Swim right and you start the game. Pretty neat, I thought.

I enjoy some action like in the most recent Star Wars strategy game (name not coming to me) -- it had a perpetual space battle going on.

But honestly, a static menu with just a little motion is my favorite. NOX has some eyes that poke open. I remember Dragon Age being very dramatic in its stillness and epicness at the same time. Neverwinter Nights has the swirling background misty stuff. I like those.
NOLF
Mafia.
Dat music... Dat music.

I loved Mafia 2's main menu just because I enjoy a pretty landscape. I enjoy staring at sceneries so this was something I enjoyed in Mafia 2. :)

Xenon 2's main theme is Bomb the Bass' song Megablast, used with his permission. Megablast on the other hand is a legit cover version of Precinct 13's main theme - its full title is "Megablast (Hip Hop on Precinct 13)".
Satisfied? ;)
although i am having problems running the game - i really like Sacrifice menu - it sort of sucks u into the screen :)

Haha. Okay. Actually I was quite curious about that (i found the savage borrowing a bit weird).

There's also the issue of Extase using the soundtrack of Bunker Palace Hotel, but maybe both are just based on the same traditionnal bulgarian songs...

I didn't know either (by that I mean Extase nor Bunker Palace Hotel).

Another weird case was Kernkraft 400 being a rip-off of the track Stardust from C64 game Lazy Jones. Apparently the "producers" only paid the original composer (David Whittaker) after someone noticed the plagiarism. Dumb untalented assholes.
